Great tent, but tent bag way too small! Very difficult to repack!!!

This is our second tent. We upgraded froma 4 person to this 8 person. It is a great tent. Love the screened in porch kept us dry during a light rain and the tent fit 4 people well. The tent held uo during overnight thunderstorm with lots of wind. The only reason we are not giving it 5 stars is because it does not fit well in the tent bag. Our 4 person tent has extra room in the bag so you dont have to stuggle too much. This is a very large 8 person tent and we have had to reroll 3 or 4 times and still struggle to get it in. We are going to have to buy something else to stuff the twnt because the whole experience was just frustrating.

    yeah it was worth it

Definitely need two people to set it up but I guess if you have a tent this size you probably have two people other than that the porch is quite nice I wouldnt think putting a camping chair in it it is a good idea for the tarp floor but it makes a really nice in-between room for bags. shoes and assorted that you dont really want to take all the mud into you tent but you also dont want to hop around on one foot on the tiny mat outside to take them off another thing to note is in the sunroom the floor typing doesnt wrap up like a tent normally would creating a dish it has mesh on the very outside of the door I assume to drain which is cool too but could also become a problem if you didnt put your tent in the correct spot or orientation also the state requires a lot of staking so instead of 10 by 16 its really more like 12 x 18 otherwise Id say Im pretty happy with it its a fairly well ventilated tent and was able to accommodate a queen size double tall air bed with room for bags and equipment the polls were pretty reasonable too and I looked and found you can find replacement or repair kits for not too much the instructions however are not the best and folding the tent back up though I was rushed proved to be somewhat difficult to make it fit back in its bag without tearing the expansion stitches the last thing Ill mention is this really isnt a 6-person tent with how they tell you to lay everything out because they put 4 people in the 10th and then two people or whatever in the sunroom so its kind of not quite a 6-person tent in the literal sense because the sun room is definitely not as protected as the enter tent

Not as easy to setup solo as I had hoped

Outstanding tent. Not as easy to setup solo as I had hoped, but a tent this big probably wont ever be easy to setup solo Once it was up and running, the family had a blast. We particularly liked the screened area as it provided an awesome mud room for our shoes and gear after long hikes. We didnt have rain, so cant comment on weatherproofing. Would buy again for sure.

    Totally loved this tent

Totally loved this tent. Not too hard to put up for the first time and in the dark. Really like the pockets for gear and the hook for a lantern details

    Good as advertised

Our first night in the tent we experienced a torrential downpour. It must have rained 2 that night and we stayed completely dry. Pretty impressive!

    Perfect tent for our family!

We just used our 6 person tent for the first time this past weekend and it was perfect! It was really easy to put up (only 3 poles!!) and my husband and I are usually tent-challenged! We used it without the rain fly since we had really warm dry weather (Olympic National Park end of August!). We were able to fit 3 twin inflatable mattresses inside but I dont think a 4th would have fit - so I think 2 queen mattresses might be a very tight fit. We loved the screened porch area! Perfect spot for my 4 year old son to play away from the bugs. And it was a great place to put our dog so he wasnt always leashed to a tree. Note that there isnt just a small window in the back that cannot be closed - the entire back upper panel of the tent is all screen - the rain fly covers it but since we didnt use that we were quite exposed but luckily we didnt have anyone camped behind us so we were fine. I highly recommend this tent for small families and for casual summer campers. I would agree with other reviewers that you might want to get some stronger stakes - we used the ones that came with and the ground was a bit hard and we bent a few of the stakes but they still worked and got the job done. We are very pleased with this tent and the price was fantastic!

This tent is easy to put up

This tent is easy to put up. As the instruction state, needs two people to put up. Its true, but only because it just makes it easier. I am sure one person could do it, it would take longer. My husband and I had it up in 15 minutes on the first go round. Dirt does get stuck in the floor zipper, which is kind of bothersome.
