    Love the screened in porch.

Nice tent. The tent is big enough for two queen air mattresses side by side and a little more room in the front to move around. The screened in portion is nice and helps keeps bugs out, and its a nice area to take your shoes off to keep the inside of the tent cleaner. The weather guard works great and keeps rain out, but water will pool in the screened in portion so watch out for that. Eash to remove though. Assembly and tear down is easy if you have at least two people. Doing it yourself is a little more challenging. Good tent though!

    youre good to go

Water does come in screen portion but with skillful tarp coverage, youre good to go. Did purchase sturdier stakes as recommended by other reviews.

    Good value, pretty tent.

This is a perfect 2-person tent. The assembly seems about average for a tent of this size and kind. I love the anteroom, and the light airy feel (because of all the windows). It held up well in a moderate downpour, but Im not so sure it would have made it comfortably through anything really heavy. Also, the rear window is just mesh. Theres no cover. If it had been any windier or colder, we would have wanted a more solid layer there. On a superficial note, the green color is quite lovely when the morning sun filters through. Overall, Im really pleased with this tent for the price.

Evanston tent put the to test --- and stays dry!

Just camped out in Pocomoke River State Park, Maryland while Hurricane Matthew was battering North Carolina. Our camp site was filled with inches of water, wind was 20-30mph, rain coming from all directions and we were under a flash flood watch. The only thing dry was the inside of my Evanston tent. Bone dry. Thank you . Attached picture is take the day after the storm.

FIVE WEEKS AND COUNTING- And Some Important Tips To Help Keep Things Sturdy. This Is My Happy Place

(WARNING- This is a long review. I am covering areas about this tent that were a concern to me. If you want a summary, go to the paragraph titled THE BOTTOM LINE) I wanted to take the time to review this tent. I spent a LOT of hours researching, watching EVERY video and reading every available review I could find out there about this tent to decide which I would get. It was between this tent and

Good tent but not made for rain

Good tent but not made for rain. The front porch area filled with water. I suggest buying an extra tarp to cover, at least 11 to cover the sides and front doors. Also, not a fan of the front doors having 3 zippers in 3 different direction. Plan on camping on a night with 0% chance of a light rain

Almost perfect but still love it!

This tent is awesome! Super roomy. We put a queen size air mattress and all our gear in here. Love the front porch on sunny days. It makes a nice area to keep shoes and toiletries handy What would make it 5 stars? Make the front entry a 90 angle. Because the bottom of the porch extends past the top, ANY rain gets into the front. We had to jerryrig a tarp to cover the front which defeated the awesome option of sitting in the porch and relaxing.

    A Good, Affordable Tent.

This tent is spacious and well-made. Theres no real need to lay down a footprint, as the floor is a built-in tarp. The screened-in front porch is great for sleeping in dry weather, but it will get wet when it rains. Drain holes exist to help with this, but unless youre on a slope, youll need to dry off the floor after it rains. The fly extends out to form a nice awning on two sides.

Great tent with so much room

Great tent with so much room! I buy tents usually for the times when we are car camping and weight is not really an issue. This tent, as all other s I have purchased, is well made and durable. It was a snap to put together and up within 30 min (took a little longer because ot the size and porch).

    Just the facts

Set it up inside my house for the first time so I wouldnt look like an idiot when I get to the campgrounds. it comes packaged in a rather small carrying bag. Once you take the tent out I doubt you will ever get it packaged and fit back into the storage bag. They probably should have made the storage bag bigger. Ill probably buy a gym bag to store it in. The instructions are sewn into the storage bag so I was halfway done setting it up before I noticed them, so dont waste your time looking for any paper instructions. Maybe having them sewn into the storage bag is standard protocol for tents but this is my first tent so I didnt know. There isnt much to setting up the tent so the instructions were minimal but they really should have given some guidance on setting up the rain cover. It didnt explain that at all. I expected to see real tent stakes but instead it comes with thin bent rods that were probably less than 1/4 inch thick so Ill upgrade those first thing. Half of the back wall of the tent is mesh with no closure so you are forced to have the rain cover on, otherwise everyone can look into your tent. The floor is about 10x10 and I would definitely recommend having a tarp under the tent so rocks and sticks dont damage the floor. Im 57 and can stand freely inside the tent. Its way taller than it seemed in the pictures. There is a small ring hanging from the center of the roof that can be used for hanging a light. I would recommend this as the light will shine down the sides and prevent you casting shadows on the walls, thereby preventing an Austin Powers screen show. There are also two small gear pouches attached to the inside walls. The inside if very spacious as you would expect for 10X10. The screened in porch/room seems very nice and actually usable. I may tarp the screen room at night and use that room for a porta potty room for my kids so they dont have to actually leave the tent when we camp around other campers. Floors seem nicely welded and come up the sides nicely. There is not a port for an electrical cord. Because the back window doesnt have a zippered cover and instead relies on the rain fly laying over it, I am not sure how this would perform in freezing temps although Im sure this was not intended for cold weather. If you get it you may want to check out the floor and determine, based on your usage (kids, dogs), if you should also lay a tarp inside the tent as well as under it to preserve the floor to keep it water proof.
