This tent has worked so well for my family. It easily fits my husband, our two small children, and I. Its held up great in the rain and shine. We love the front entry way; it helps keep all the dirt contained outside of the tent.
We went to camping for 3 days with rain and sun and we were safe, very spacious for a family of 4. Took my gusband and my 6 years old 30 mins to put it toguether. The porche is very cool to see the sunset.
Easy, roomy, love the screened area. It helps keep things organized, keep the main part cleaner, easy access for quick grab and go plus helps with keeping temperature warmer at night and cooler in the sun of the day time.
Other reviewers have gone over all the pros, so I wont repeat them here. Thats why it got 4 stars. I cant give it a 5 star because of the back window that doesnt close. It really should have come with a zip-up flap that you can close when it gets windy or chilly. Because of this, we have to cancel our camping trip this weekend because, oh irony of ironies, its going to dip down to 2C (about 35F) this weekend, the ONE WEEKEND its cold after an ENTIRE SUMMER OF EXCESSIVE HEAT AND DROUGHT. Ok, Im ranting, but I was really looking forward to this, booked the site months ago, its part of my birthday celebration, and now we cant go because wed freeze our butts off, all because of the back wall. Alas.
The tent is nice a roomy but like other reviewers said, the netted porch does let water in. Havent actually used it for camping yet but set it up in the yard to seam seal and do a dry run. It rained several times and the tent itself stayed very dry, no leaks at all but the screened porch collected and held water. If you expect rain while using this I would definetly bring a tarp to cover that area. We will actually use it in a couple weeks so I can give a better review after the fact. I like the tent but it does use a large footprint, 10 x 14 which may be a concern once we get to the campground.
Great car camping tent with large screened area for insect protection. Inside is unbelievably large. Will accomodate two queen air mattresses, however there is little space left between to move around. Queen and double would work better for gear storage and walking room.
My 10 year old and I set this up by ourselves and it went fine. We used it for a 4 night camping trip and it rained 2 of the 4 nights and we had absolutely no rain in the main part of the tent. The screen portion does not have any cover so that did get wet, which meant our feet were wet in the tent but we just laid a towel down inside the tent so that we could dry our feet. We had just the two of us and we set up 2 cots and a little table in between them and it worked great. I would highly recommend this tent.
I usually only camp in warmer weathers so this review is only for those temperatures.
Very roomy. Good quality. Setup was not bad. Love the front area.
Speaking of the front area; it is great when there are a lot of bugs around. It almost acts like an airlock on a spaceship. You go in the front part first, zip it up, then unzip the inner door flap once the coast is clear.
We upgraded our family tent this summer. Plenty rom for our family (2 adults + 1 toddler) and our favorite is the extra space of the front. We set a dining table in there to keep bugs off from our food. Great purchase!
