Be careful when assembling this cabinet especially nailing in the back on. if you accidentally hammer the nail on an angle, it will easily punch through the cupboard frame. This can happen very easily.
The cabinet was the perfect size for my space and it does its job so Im not going to dismiss this product entirely.
So many people complained. I figured out why. You dont read and look over directions. This is the best drawers. You know that they are small if you measure first.
Some people say they are poorly made. I put my soup cans and veggies in them. I put in spaghetti jars. I have zero issues at all. Just slow down and youll understand.
I ordered this after looking at many products, this caught my eyes because of its sleek style like a metal file cabinets. I ordered this product before Christmas however it arrived week later after new year. I did contact seller because product was not moving in shipping, it had label created but no movement, they responded to me quickly within a day, and was willing to work with me to ensure that I get my product on time. Initial response from them was due to holidays it is running late and willingness to give me some discount. My intention was not get discount but to get product as I did let them know.
The product arrived few days late and safe, no issues. Then came the installation part. This will take minimum 2.5 hrs to install by one person. As you can see from the picture tons of screws, dowels etc.
The end product looks good in my room, very sleek. Good value for the money. Keep in mind this is engineered wood, once you polish with furniture cleaner it shines and looks really good.
Installation was not hard it just takes time to go through all steps, steps consist of picture and very little text, but it is presented well. I highly recommend this product.
I purchased 4 of these to replace with plastic ones, but when my husband started putting them together one by one he realized that 1 out the 4 didnt have all necessary items to use nor put together. The railings to the drawers are missing which obviously make the closet maid useless. I have emailed closet maids 12/29, few days later the responded what some more information which obviously i have provided and since then i havent heard anything about what they will do to resolve the issue. We are going on well over 2weeks I have emailed them twice trying to get an update on my case and NOTHiNG! I want to leave 5 stars but with the customer service so far a 3 it is, it may even go to 2 stars. I guess today I will be contacting them by phone and see where I get with that. Not happy!
The product came quickly, boxed well, and all pieces were included. I was glad that extra fasteners included. High quality drawer runners, but there is no warning that the drawer hardware has a coating of grease, which is fine, but messy if the assembler is not aware. My main gripe is with the instructions. I like that they are in booklet form, and they are clearly sequential and generally well drawn. The main problem is with the drawer instructions. They are so small and lightly printed that details are difficult to discern in a few places. There is a significant error: the drawer latches are not placed in identical places. The bottom drawer has its catch hardware near the top and the top drawer near the bottom, but the assembly drawings are identical. Also, there is no indication where the rabbit on the interior piece for holding folders should go. Turns out, it should be next to the inside of the front piece of the drawer to provide space for the plastic hanging folder support. The instructions mislabel the type of pegs to be used in the drawer assembly. They are not Bs, they are Fs. A few other things: There are no screws for fastening the position of the interior folder dividers, and there should be. The kick strip running across the bottom is not robust enough. It easily bends and the veneer cracked during assembly. So there are a bunch of gripes which added all up make this less than a fun project to assemble. Someone with less experience would have a frustrating time. When assembled, it looks good, seems generally sturdy, and the drawers operate well. I like the safety feature, which is a mechanism that prevents both drawers from being open at the same time. This is well engineered; the fit and finish are flawless, and the price makes it a bargain despite my gripes.
The shipping box was badly damaged which made me skeptical the contents were protected. To my surprise, nothing was broken. The sturdiness would be much better if the joints were glued. You should supply glue. Otherwise, Im happy with drawers.

I liked it was sturdy and easy to assemble, however not happy that the keys for the lock were missing.

No screw for you
Looks like your standard black filing cabinet. However it did NOT come with hardware for the handles. Guess Ill buy some screws and lock washers.....
