I am mechanically inclined. Worked in maintenance and mechanical all my life. IF NOT, I would have thrown this out the window. The piece, once assembled, is pretty nice. The so called instructions must have been put together by a moron. Bags of screws not labeled properly , one plastic piece broken, I glued it back together and used it anyway, 4 screws that hold the sliders to the drawers are too long and just break through the wood into the inside of the drawer. And it can be assembled by one person, does not require two people. Like I said, once put together it is a decent piece for the money. But beware, the instructions are just pictures and very badly put together and part references are mislabeled .

I was a little nervous after reading the reviews but assembly of this was very very simple! I had no issues at all and it only took me about 1.5 hrs by myself and that is with taking 20 min to lay out all the parts. Just read the instructions and be organized and youll have no issues with this. Absolutely love it!
The cabinet came in one flat box. I did not realize that the assembly was so involved. As an example, the instruction book that is included is 32 pages long. I have assembled dozens of pieces of furniture over the years, many from , and Im very good at it. This build took me almost 3 hours so be prepared. That being said, I really like the quality and look of the finished product. Well worth the $170.
This filing cabinet is fine and it meets my needs. Unfortunately, it came without a key.
Edit: I found the key in the bottom of the box when I went to recycle the packaging. It probably should have been secured to the drawer or something, but it did come with all the advertised parts!
This fills the bill. As long as I have the bottom drawer well-filled, then the top drawer does not topple over. It is sturdy once you get the bottom drawer filled to provide balanced weight..
Excellent file cabinet, exactly what I was looking for. Instructions are great and assembly was quite straight forward. The only thing to be careful about is when you align the drawers with the cabinet rails - if you dont have anyone to help, this step can be challenging. Make sure the rails are aligned on both sides (dont push the drawer in yet, just align the tip of the rails on both sides !) while they dont extend out of the unit. Once the tips are aligned, pull the rails out with one hand while holding the drawer with the other hand.
The rails will extend fully out of the unit and slide along the drawer while the drawer is still partially outside the cabinet. After this, its easy to push the drawer in. If you need too much force, you are doing something wrong ad risky !
