Just purchased and so far, its great/the bed and trundle were easy to put together (with two people doing it) and the whole set up looks nice. For the top bed and trundle, we bought 8 twin memory foam mattresses (specifically Zinus Ultima Comfort Memory Foam), and those have worked out really well so far, very comfortable on the bed and trundle frames. You would not be able to do a higher mattress on the trundle.
One note: The trundle does not stand up to the height of the daybed once you pull it out. I thought it would (a lot of trundles do), but this one doesnt. That aside, I would totally recommend this.
I purchased this for my 81 year old mother who has recently become bed ridden. Her bedroom is away from the main room and she was feeling left out of the family gathering time. This Madison Daybed now serves as a lounge sofa for extra seating as well as a bed for Mom when she wants to get out of her bed. It is very comfortable and at the perfect level in height that she does not require assistance to get up or out of the bed. Well pleased with the product from the time it arrived until the first time Mom smiled as she sat on it and swung her legs around to lay down. It is perfect.
The instructions were actually (surprisingly) easy to follow. There were no surprises. Once assembled, the daybed is very sturdy with no creaks. Very happy with this.
Just got around to putting this together. Didnt open boxes when it first came in as we werent quite ready for it. Should have opened the boxes. The bed itself is quite nice but the quality control before bed was packed and shipped leaves a lot to be desired. One of the posts had a gouge in it, another had scratches and one had several spots of paint that will have to be removed. These were not things that could happen in shipment as it was packed well. Lucky that the posts with the gouge and scratches went in the back and cannot be seen. We will remove the paint from the other. Also the tops of the posts were loose. Husband is good at furniture repair and will be able to fix. Assembling took a couple of hours but all in all not difficult. Did need two people on some steps. Other than the imperfections we really like the looks of this bed.

It was very reasonably priced, arrived in great condition and, with the exception of one bolt that wouldnt quite screw on properly, all of the hardware was present and in working order. It looks fantastic and we assembled it in one hour (it takes at least two people to put it together easily / there were actually three of us). I would definitely buy this product again.
Perfection transaction. Very fast shipping, everything intact. All parts present. Bed is pretty and sturdy. Easy to put together. Two people could lie on this bed. Only problem I am having is with the suspension deck. When sitting or laying on bed, mattress sinks between the bars on the suspension deck, making it unstable (the mattress). Going out to buy a something to lay between mattress and deck. Hope this review helpsbtw I bought the mattress they suggestedit is a good mattress.
