Some of the screws could have easily cross threaded. Be careful when assembling it as ssome of the holes were not complely drilled out on the pieces, causing issues with the screws. Otherwise it is a beautiful bed; very sturdy and is holding up well. I do think they should include some screw caps for the heads that assemble toward the matteress. I had to find a way to protect it from puncturing the mattress as it lines up until i find the correct size of caps to go over the ends.
I will be honest, I hate putting furniture together and I usually end up frustrated. This bed was easy to put together but it is very sturdy. It is beautiful and to be honest, I would expect to pay 10/20 more for something of this quality. I will probably buy another one of these here soon for another bedroom. My only issue is I am missing one screw for a roller on the trundle but I found one that does the trick in my garage.
The add was very vague on the trundle. It simply said trundle included. I asked if it was a pop up trundle and received the reply that it was. I ordered accordingly. I love the bed, but the trundle isnt worth the 100+ extra that I paid. It doesnt even connect to the bed to keep it straight when rolled out.
Using this daybed as a spare bed for our grand daughter when she visits. Looks good and was easy to set up. It has a rail base but feels great with a good matress, spring base would be too soft. Very sturdy. Happy with purchase.

Perfect Day bed and trundle
