Very niceee looking piece of furniture. The predrilled holes didnt line up great so I took off a star but, its very sturdy and I like that the top stays open so my children arent smashing their heads in it.
Update: I had this for a few months before the latch that keeps the lid open snapped because my 3 year old climbed on it while it was open. No fault of the makers but my child does that weigh that much and it broke quite easily.
Great quality! I was impressed by how niceee the finish is. Appears to be durable and love that the lid is a resistant slow closing hinge, no smashing fingers or banging the lid down.
This product is exactly what I have come to expect from decently priced, buyer-assembled furniture. I would like to point out that unlike earlier reviewers mention all the pre-drilled holes were present and lined up correctly. Assembly was not quick, (about an hour or so,) but it was straightforward and without great difficulty. The hardest part for me personally was attaching the safety hinge (the included screws were a little on the large side and the heads stripped with the force needed to get them in far enough to secure the hinge.) Everything else about the assembly process was accomplished easily. This now rests in our mudroom and both form and function meet or exceed our expectations. Interestingly enough, the middle leg doesnt seem to touch the floor, although that might be the pitch of our floor. In the end I would recommend this product to others with a similar need.
BEAUTIFUL. I love this bench. It did come with a defective arm piece. .com took care of it by giving me a discount. I think adding some white paint to it will camouflage the gouge. Otherwise, excellent. I love the two compartments inside and then slow close hinge. Very comfortable to sit on and the perfect height!
