    Great Stool, Bad Quality Control

I just received this stool today, came nicely packaged, took it out of the box and was ready to go. I wont bore you with the process, The Stool itself is nice and sturdy, nice wood, holds firmly, no wobble, No issues currently with it. My issue comes from the quality control. First Do not, I repeat Do Not use the enclosed Allen wrench, unless you wish to have colorful language as you put this together. The wrench is smaller then the screws hole just enough that every turn it falls out, making your 1 minute tightening nearly 3 mins, now multiply that by 4 and you have a wonderful 24 mins of fighting with the Allen wrench, but thats not all, there's more! The 4 spacers or leg stretchers (as its called in the wanna be instructions) pilot holes are not large enough so trying to get the screws to catch to tighten it is an ordeal compounded by the Allen wrench falling out of the screw because its the wrong size, and as your having such a fun time with your words you notice that everytime the Allen wrench is falling out its stripping the screw ever so slightly so that when you get to the very end you cant tighten it because the edges of the screw are now slightly rounded and you realize its fruitless to try, mind you that was just the first screw, you have 7 more to go, but wait as an added Bonus they give you the screw covers (Or as they say wood plugs), so now you have to try and push these wood plugs into the screw holes to give it a finish look, you push it in, you think ok let me go to the next one, as you do the first pops up and is no longer tight, so you go back and push it in again, this time it sticks to your finger and comes out with you, more colorful language, finally after all the frustration of the first one not going in, you decide to get a hammer, nowhere in the instructions does it say you need a hammer (oh wait thats right there are no words, its simple pictures, because it so simple), now that you have your trusty hammer or better yet you dont want to ruin the finish so you get your rubber mallet, you start hammering it in, light tapping and it keeps popping out, so you finally had enough and give it a good hit, only to see it went too far and now you ruined the head of 8 plugs cause from the hitting the finish is now gone and the plug is so far in that if anything ever happens to the Barstool you wouldnt be able to fix it cause you wont be able to get the plugs out without destroying the stool. But when its said and done, once you get past all the aggrevation, the stool is nice and sturdy and well made.

Sturdy. Simple to Assemble. Wooden plug issue.

The Wooden plugs are difficult to install. I noticed that the plugs are not fitting well and omitted them. I do not need them, as they are purely for aesthetics. I use it for piano study in a small area where a small piano on a table and stool are ideal. I have included an image of the stools sticker for reference. The maximum weight is 275 pounds. Thank you,

    Works perfectly

I purchased this as a less expensive stand for one of my plant pots. It was very easy to assemble and very sturdy.

    Wood plug problem

As noted in reviews below, this is basically a nice stool, sturdy and easy to put together. HOWEVER, as noted in reviews below the wood plugs do not fit. In addition, when I called customer service they say to leave a message and they will return call in 3 days. No call received. Defective product, defective manufacturer/distributor. WHY does continue to ship this item??????????????????

    Difficult

It was very hard to assemble the stool without using additional tools. The screws were very difficult to screw in.

    Ready for Classroom Use

Easy to put together and feels pretty solid and sturdy. I have 2 suggestions. 1) Use wood glue while putting in the pegs and screws because Im sure it will eventually get creaky. 2) I wished the manufacturer had an un polished version. That way you dont have to sand it down before painting.

    Great little stool!

This is a well put together stool. It is the perfect height for what it is used.

    Ergonomics

I would like a higher cross leg to rest feet on the stool
