I needed a small stool to go before a workbench...and this thing filled the bill. It's easy to assemble and when assembled, it's quite study. It holds my 200 lbs with no issues. As for comfort...it's a freakin' wooden stool.
The stool looks nice and is sturdy once fully assembled. That being said, you might as well forget about using the wrench provided, is it not only useless but painful (as mentioned in several other reviews). I used a pretty beefy cordless drill with the appropriate bit, and still had to drill the screws in to the point that the drill gave up and quit. The wood caps they provide to finish off the stool by covering the screw heads will not stay in. You can of course glue these in, but should you ever need to tighten the screws again this would definitely prove to be a problem.
This is just what I wanted for my little workshop space. Sadly the top section did come a bit scratched up. It is sturdy and acts as a any other stool so I cant complain on that part.

The instructions says not to use power tools but I had to. I used my drill bit set to make the holes in those 4 little sticks a little bigger. After I made those holes bigger I screwed in the screws all the way in before putting them on to screw in the stool, to make sure they can screw all the way in. After I took the screws out I put them back in the stool and was able to screw them in easy. And those little buttons to cover the holes were unable to stay in. So I used a hammer to make sure they stayed in. So far it has worked and stool is good to go. If it wasnt so hard to put together, it would have gotten a higher rating. But you will need a hammer, and power drill bit. Even though instructions say no power tools needed
The screws are so hard to insert that twisting the Allen wrench provided is literally painful. I ordered 4 bar stools and 2 of the Allen wrenches included in the hardware snapped. Also, the wooden caps do not stay in and the surface will get scratch marks way too easily. I will have to glue the caps in so well see if that works. Theyre sturdy and they look ok but overall not thrilled. You get what you pay for.

Added seating for kitchen island. Easy to assemble. Pre-drilled screw holes.
