    Basic bar stool

This was perfect for me as a plant stand and my cat like to nip at my plants ! He can't reach it on this stool plus it's basically attractive.

Perfect Stools for our Large Chess Set

I was able to purchase from turquoise cushioned tops for the stools to match our decor. Stools are just the right height. You do have to assemble them, though.

    Colossal POS

Didn't hold together from the moment I assembled it. Had to add bolts and anchors to try to keep it together and it still wouldn't work. Do not buy.

    Great stool for kumihimo!

I make braided jewelry using a Japanese technique called kumihimo. Part of that hobby is buying these 30 stands called marudai that allow you to braid while sitting in a chair. Unfortunately those stands are pricey so I bought this stool instead and with a $5 hole saw (attachment for a drill used to make holes on new doors for the door knobs) cut a hole in the seat and viola it's a marudai! It works great and my back loves it. No more hunching over a table. This stool was easy to assemble and I can speak to it being sturdy as it took me a little while to drill thru the wood! Overall great stool and easy to repurpose as a marudai. Highly recommended!

Solidly built stool, but assembly was a bit of a challenge

The 29-Inch Barstool With Round Seat is a well built stool made from solid wood. A good value and mine arrived quickly after order. Positives: Study construction. Parts are all wood. Holes and pegs aligned adequately. Good price. Negatives: Instructions are meager, but adequate. The hardware comes with an allen wrench, screws, and hole caps. The pilot holes for the screws are narrow, and the instructions say to not use power tools. The allen wrench is weak and short. Turning the screws with the allen wrench was nearly impossible. The wrench is too short to get adequate leverage, and too short to reach the bottom of the holes, except when used with the long end in the hole. That made turning the screws impossible, unless a pliars or other tool was used to increase the suitablity of the wrench. The wrench is of weak metal, looks like brass. Screws themselves are weak, but adequate. A few pennies more for a proper sized wrench and stronger screws would be money well spent. I ended up using an electric drill on low setting with the original screws and carefully turned them into place. I also used wood glue to secure the stools joints. Only the top and bottom rungs are threaded and the center rung is designed to be loose in the holes. Using wood glue made the stool much more stout. Overall, my grade is a B. Well designed, quick shipping, and a fair price. If it had a proper allen wrench and better screws I would give this an A.
