I was afraid to purchase based on the reviews but this chair is quite nice for the price. It was about a 5 minute assembly. 2 pieces in the box and 4 legs that screw in. It is easy to recline in and close back up. Definitely great for small spaces. Im 53 and my legs reach the end so not sure how it would work for taller individuals. My leg rest stayed open without any problems. Its a nice pleather and doesnt look cheap. The material is soft and you sit on it and sink in a bit. I can see how its possible for it to tip if you recline to fast so need to sit slowly and press back easily. Im pleased.
Updated after 30 days of use: The chair still looks good but I noticed today that my butt cheeks are imprinted on the part where Ive been sitting all these days and also where my legs press against the front of the chair (Im fairly thin 52, 127 lbs). Im afraid to think what this will look like in a year (if it makes it that long). Cute chair but if youre looking for something that will last a long time, you need to spend more than $200 on this one. This is a short-term chair for short people.
1/23 - I just wanted to add that the chair does have a smell coming off of it. I am very sensitive to smells so it may not be anything. Its a pleather type of smell (kindof a cross between leather and artificial leather). I hope it wears off over time.
When I ordered the chairs I made a mistake and ordered red instead of black! Not sure how I did it, but definitely was my mistake. Since the shipping to return and reorder was more than I wanted to spend, we kept them and redecorated the living area in our travel trailer. The chairs fit well in the small space in our camper and are very comfortable. It took a while to get used to the color but with the redecoration we are quite pleased with them.
Great price and way to assemble. Comfortable if sitting in certain positions since it lacks more cushion in the leg area especially around the edges. Recline is hard to keep in certain positions but overall comfort is good enough for what its worth.
Needed a chair for my small WFH office. This is perfect for a small space. Im 59 I wouldnt buy if you are much taller than that. The reclining mechanism isnt the best. Still a great buy for the price.
Bought two of these chairs in October of 2021 after being underwhelmed by more expensive options and daunted by shipping times, and being in desperate need of some comfortable seating after moving. We didnt have high expectations based on the price, but these chairs arrived quickly and have actually been comfortable and have held up after 4 months of daily use watching evening and weekend TV or even working on the computer/crafting/folding laundry (a standard folding table fits perfecty over the arm rests). We will be keeping them even after we get a couch or other seating.
Durability: Overall the chair has held up well after four months of daily use. Our dog 35lb dog loves sitting in them while we are gone (or with us, it is a squeeze) and she has surprisingly not punctured the PU leather. The only degradation weve seen is that if you press too hard on the arm rests (like with your elbow, to recline) the arm rest will indent underneath. It isnt visible but I imagine this could become a problem over time. Im impressed by the reclining ability, I expected that mechanism to break quickly but it has held up well and reclining is very easy.
Comfort: The chairs are the perfect height for us (we are both around 57 and ~150lbs) but someone taller may have their feet hang off/head over the top. For me, the leg rest is perfect and provides a lot of support. The sitting cushion is also comfortable. There could be more lumbar support when reclined, but, I think that would be a big ask for the price, and I bought a little pillow to help.
