My daughter is 3 and loves this bed. Shes never fallen off of it. The mattress I got for it was the one that was recommended. I didnt want to pay so much money for the castle curtains so I sewed my own and it turned into her own little nook and we hung up some fairy strings lights. She loves it.
We got this in June. It took a few hours to put together. The upper rail is not that secure. In fact, my 5 year old leaned on the rail, it came off, and he fell. Thankfully he only had a slight bump on his head. It could have been much worse. We will be adding additional screws/wood glue to make sure it doesnt happen again.
Great bed for the price

Cons / One or 2 screw holes did not line ( did not take off as was only one or 2 and were redundant with how many cross pieces the bed had to reinforce in case that happened)
My little one has jumped up on this my wife and her have been up on this. The bed is well designed and easy to assemble if you have the patience for it.

Love this bed!! We went straight from a crib to this / instead of a toddler bed when my son was 2 years old. So great / and he has never fallen out or hand any issues with maneuvering it. The bed is just above waist height for my hubby (Hes 62) and chest height for me (Im 52). And the slide couldnt be more fun!!
Was easy to put together by myself, with an occasional hand from one of the kids. With it being metal there are a few things that should be expected: It is loud! Not a big deal if your kids are pretty tame, but mine are not. It hasnt been so noisy that it drives me insane though. I just have to remind them to chill out sometimes. After quite a bit of jumping around on it, it does need to be tightened up a bit to prevent squeaking maybe a buffer put in here or there. Also you need to really pay attention to them dimensions forethought about the slide going into the wall. I had about a foot clearance so we put a bean bag at the end of the slide for them to go into rather than the wall. Overall, this is a great bed for the price I would definitely recommend it!
