    Almost perfect.

Nice bed, my 3 year old absolutely loves it. Im not a big fan of the way the slats go together, but they seem sturdy enough for kids. My only complaint is that I wish they would have built it so you could swap the slid and ladder locations to allow you to customize it just a bit. You cannot do this, there are screw holes for the slide and knotches for the ladder that dont allow them to be swapped. It would have been soooo easy to do and made this bed perfect for us. Not a huge deal, but would have been nice.

    Sturdy, functional, and fun.

My daughter loves this bed. Assembly is easy but takes a little bit of time. I did it under 2 hours total. I did it by myself and you dont need a second person. I think the people who are complaining about it being rickety didnt tighten the hexnuts enough. One suggestion would be that if you have access to a ratcheting screwdriver with an allen key bit, use. Youll be able to save time instead of using the provided allen key. The bed is absolutely sturdy for my 8 year old and she LOVES the slide. The slide works extremely well, is slippery just as it should be, The bed does not feel cheap at all and heck, it isnt. But it is worth the memories you will make for your kid. I also bought the curtain set for the loft and that is also well/made and fits nicely along the perimeter of the bed to make it into a fort. Shipping was very slow and it took several days to get notified that the product had even shipped. It was a bit hard to disappoint my daughter every day because the bed had not shown up. Thats the only negative during the whole shopping experience but it does not pertain directly to the product so I am leaving that out of my star rating.

    Good and Bad

Good: /Very simple instructions. /Very easy to assemble // took 2 hours for completion (1 person). /Great setup/design; very fun. Bad: /Slats are very weak. An adult cannot lay on here, even though some say they do (they dont understand physics, I suppose). /One of the holes for the frame screws was completely messed up and wouldnt take the screw but maybe 1/4 of the way, which isnt terrible because of all the other screws bracing. /One of the welds/cuts on a framing piece was atrocious, causing it to attach to the adjacent piece very crooked; so much so that part of the foot board wouldnt stay in its hole // this worked itself out once the entire weight and support of the bed was complete. Id definitely recommend so far. Update: Had the bed for 4/5 months now and everything is holding up flawlessly.

Best bed for your kid ever

My son loves this bed. It is really strong, the slide is fun, and the ladder is great for physical therapy because it encourages my son to use his left arm. Your child can use the bottom part as a tent or you can place another mattress down there when playmates sleep over.

    Great bed, super fun!

This is a great bed. Its relatively easy to assemble. The slide is great and the metal frame makes a great option for decorating with magnets.

This bed was simple enough for a single mom to put together! My daughter loves it and it is very durable. Recommend this!

    The princesses love it

I have two daughters / one is eight, one is two. The two/year/old sleeps under this bed on a crib mattress, which gives her extra room to play and store stuffed animals, and the older girl sleeps on the top. They have both slept safely on the top bed but the toddler prefers to be downstairs in the castle. I added a cute purple and pink castle/themed curtain set purchased from another retailer that starts with a K / you can look for Princess Fairytale loft curtains. My other addition was a bookcase shaped like stairs from a big Scandinavian retailer. The girls climb up those like stairs or up the slide rather than using the built/in ladder. My guess is that most kids climb up the slide instead of the ladder anyway. I am 100 lbs. myself and I can slide down the slide with no problem, so its pretty sturdy. I had seen a review of this online that said it took the person 2+ hours to assemble. I did it in less than an hour by myself with no problems, but Im really good at following directions.

Easy assembly on bed, slide is a different story

The bed itself (without the slide) was very easy to assemble. The directions were clear, no missing parts, everything was well packaged. Then we got to the slide, which theoretically should have been the easiest part to do. I think someone else did the directions for the slide. It just did not make sense and it took longer to assemble this one portion than the entire rest of the bed. Also, the bottom part of the slide had some very sharp angles that hurt. Fortunately the room is carpeted. If it were a wooden floor, the sharp edges on the slide would leave deep gouges on the floor. Once fully assembled, the bed seems fairly sturdy and my son loves it.
