We have three kids from 3,4,5. Our oldest has his own room and the two youngest share a room so we thought having two of these loft beds would be best to save on space, but not have a really tall bunk bed. Both kids love having their own loft beds and we have them right next to each other. The height is about 4 feet tall so if they did fall off of the bed it wouldnt be as bad as a regular bunk bed. The bed was easy to put together and is strudy. Im a grown adult over 200lbs and it supports my weight.however, it does restrict the imum recommended weight of about 110lbs. I think the kids will like this bed until they are in middle school which means real bunk beds or single twin beds.
I bought this bed for my 5 year old and it was a total HIT Its really sturdy and fairly easy to put together. I can honestly say that I believe this will be his bed for a long time.
Easy and quick to put together but the slide is a disappointment. It is metal which means my kids have to wear long pants or their skin sticks and I have boys so Im lucky they keep underwear on, lol. I had to add baby oil to help some but that is a temp fix. Being that its attached to a bed, it would have been nice to have a plastic slide suppose to a metal. Its more like 3.5 stars because of that the bed/slide concept. We live in Texas so we tend not to wear complete pajama sets. Maybe in cooler states or those who wear long bottoms, it may not be a bother. However, all things aside my boys love it.that equals 4stars.
Easy to assemble. A lot of pieces, but not difficult. I highly suggest getting a 4mm hex screwdriver instead of only using the L allen wrench that is included. The screwdriver just feeds faster, and most of the bolts take several turns to install. The Allen wrench cannot just be spun 360 degrees repeatedly because of the location of most of the bolts impede just spinning the wrench. My 5 year old made the assembly process fun. We both read the instructions and he handed me the parts.
So far so good! When our little guy outgrew his crib we were looking for a fun big boy bed that was a little different but didnt cost a fortune. This is it!
Assembly took a little time, maybe 2 hours total, but it was relatively easy. Id recommend an electric drill/driver to help screw in all of the bolts, there are a lot! The bed feels very sturdy, we used a 5 memory foam mattress on top and that leaves plenty of safety room for the rails above the mattress so were not worried about him falling out (hes a little over 2 years old).
He LOVES the slide, and climbing up the ladder to go to bed at night. We didnt experience any magical sleeps through the night way better now moments with the bed, but it is really fun and looks great. The rails under the mattress are close enough together that the mattress is very comfortable to lay on, you dont feel the rails through the mattress.
The entire bed is metal. I wish the slide were some sort of fancy plastic instead. Being metal its loud. Our little one like to scramble up the slide, and it creaks and moans very loudly every time. Thats really the only negative thing about it. The slide is thin metal, and its braced by the metal side rails, and some metal cross bars underneath, so the metal on metal action definitely lets you know its there. I guess one other complainy might be that there is not much room underneath. For example our 2 year old cant walk under the bed, its too tall. So its still fun as a fort to play under, but it would have been a little better if it were a hair taller so he could walk under it. But besides those minor points, we love it, its been a fantastic, well built bed that we plan on using for years.

Love everything about it except the noisy slide!
