Were pretty happy so far with the quality of this bed. The building part was a little more intense than we anticipated. Takes 2 people but thats expected. What might not be expected is making sure to have wood glue as youll need to assemble and glue together a lot of small parts to make the ends of the bed. Thats the part that took some substantial time to build. I guess thats how they make their margin by not assembling anything. Still worth the purchase if youre above than average handy. If youre not handy dont buy these beds you will regret.
This bed with was easy to assemble. My husband had to make adjustments to the part you pull on to get the bed out. Sharpe corners on both ends had to be cut and sanded down. This would have been a big safety issue with our 2 year old. He also added a gate to the stairs and extra rails to the inside(because she still figured out a way to get up there with the gate) but that was just our choice to keep youngest off the top bunk. Overall dont regret purchase.
If I had it to do over, Id get a different bed, but now that its together, I dont want to take it apart. There are large cracks in five or six different boards, including one on the stairs, and dings and such as well. A couple we glued because it was a concern as they went clear through the board. They apparently have lousy level of product control.
In addition, they put a hideous warning sticker the entire length on one side. Unless you plan to have that certain side up against the wall, you are in for a mess when you take it off. I got mine off after considerable effort. Just seems like they feel we are babies and cant discuss weight and proper use with our kids. Maybe because their product isnt as strong as they like to think.
Would not recommend or buy again. Unfortunately.
