Works well.We are so happy with this bed! My 17 year old put it together herself with no help! It took time but its great. So glad we ordered it. It came quick and Im very happy with it.

I am actually surprised at how good of quality it is. I thought I would need to add bracing, but none needed so far.
Here is a NOTE for anyone not used to loft beds. We ended up installing a LED strip light under the ben above the desk area. It gets really dark thereeven with a PC monitor shining.
Assembly is a bit tough, but the majority of the holes line up correctly (had problem with 2) We like the bed, but even though its rated for 200+ lb, the end my daughter used to climb up began bowing in after just a couple of days. (Shes older weighs 140 lb). We had to buy a ladder.
Assembled Quickly. My son loves this bed. He is 6 so he was a little scared of going up and down at first because there is no gap by the ladders to get over the railing. But he now loves the bed more than anything! He thinks its incredible. Lots of reviews said it was hard to put together but I (mom) did it myself in just a few hours and this was after I made every possible mistake first. Lol. Make sure that you leave the screws holding the base a little loose until the slats are put in then tighten to avoid any fitting issues. We love it!
This works. Fantastic bed, nice and sturdy. My 5 yr old has been on top of the world since receiving it. My husband put it together in about 4 hrs. He needed a 2nd person to help hold the two large sides together for fastening. No issues with the steps hurting my sons feet, standard twin mattress fits perfect with no gapping or sagging. LOVE THIS BED!
Awesome! We purchased two of these for our boys. First bed took 3 hours to assemble, the 2nd one took only an hour. We love everything about these beds. Their small profile fits nicely in their room, while still giving each of them ample wiggle room. The teenagers took the top bunks and the bed holds up rather well. I even climbed up top and didnt feel the wiggling that other adult reviewers noticed. For the price, I couldnt be happier! We also ordered the LinenSpa 8 memory foam hybrid mattress. The dimensions are perfect and the mattress is also comfortable. We didnt want to condemn our sons to only 6 inches of support but almost everyone recommended that size for bunk beds. This bunk bed model accomodates mattresses up to 9 inches! And in case youre wondering, we didnt need to add boards for additional support.
