This is the second I have bought and it does not disappoint. They are assembled before shipping and properly set up, then broken down for shipment. All the customer has to do is attach the handle bar, the front wheel, pedals and seat and you are ready to ride. They make it very easy. The product is of good quality and fun to ride.
My son picked out this bike. It shipped fast, and is extremely lightweight. The color is so nice, and the bike works well. My son changed from a BMX to this, so he loves the gears and how fast he can go! Great bike, and value. Would buy again!
The first one showed up damaged. sent a new one right out. The real problem with the bike is the grip shifting mechanisms on the handlebars. Theyre way too hard for a 9 year old girl to grip and turn, mainly in one direction. Thumb shifters seem like they would be a much better option but I guess these grip shifters are common on kids bikes. A quick internet search reveals many people complaining about the same thing. Also, while the rear sprocket shifter has numbers 1/7, the front sprocket shifter only moves in incremental clicks, so its trial and error as to which click actually gets the chain to switch sprockets. Its a wait for it, wait for it, wait for it, and it shifted kind of thing. If you click too many times at once it overshoots. I dont know why 1,2,3 wasnt good enough.
Anyway Im currently looking for new shifters to change out which is why, depending on your level of mechanical ability, resources or motivation to solve this annoying issue, it might be a three star bike. Oh and the seat isnt that comfortable from what I hear either.
I put this together in about an hour. This is the high timber ALX bike. 24 bike. Opened the box and the whole bike comes out. Take all the wrapping off and then the handle bars will be hanging. You will need a screw driver once, allen wrench a few times and a wrench to put on the pedals. You have to install the front tire and you have to put the quick release screw in but it is easy too. Dont lose the springs that are on the shaft. I will need to adjust the disc brakes but I will watch youtube first. It also has a kickstand attached to it. I did not know that and bought one so there is a return. Everything is easy but take your time to make sure it is right. Instructions in the book too. I am not a beginner but not a pro either, I would say moderate skill with bikes. And the bike looks great once together. Good price for a disc brake bike, I think.
Excellent top/of/the/line bike for tall people with 27.5 inch tires, Aluminum frame, disc brakes and Shimano equipped.
Damaged in shipping, but stepped/up with a fair discount.
Very pleased with bike size, Aluminum frame / brakes, shifters and over/all quality.
Assembly requires above average bicycle mechanical skills and specialized tools. High quality aluminum frame, but low end drive train and forks that are more for show. Would recommend professional assembly at a bike shop. If you are serious about MTB research other bikes. If you want to ride dirt roads and paved bike trails this is a decent bike. If you do buy it, watch some YouTube videos by Park tool before assembly. Especially about adjusting front and rear derailleurs.

Its a real , not a cheap Mongoose or other crappy over/priced, low/quality copy.

Technical bike knowledge required for assembly.

Great bike!
The bike is great. Initially the rim came bent. I called and they sent me a new wheel.
