    Might be Three stars

The first one showed up damaged. sent a new one right out. The real problem with the bike is the grip shifting mechanisms on the handlebars. Theyre way too hard for a 9 year old girl to grip and turn, mainly in one direction. Thumb shifters seem like they would be a much better option but I guess these grip shifters are common on kids bikes. A quick internet search reveals many people complaining about the same thing. Also, while the rear sprocket shifter has numbers 1/7, the front sprocket shifter only moves in incremental clicks, so its trial and error as to which click actually gets the chain to switch sprockets. Its a wait for it, wait for it, wait for it, and it shifted kind of thing. If you click too many times at once it overshoots. I dont know why 1,2,3 wasnt good enough. Anyway Im currently looking for new shifters to change out which is why, depending on your level of mechanical ability, resources or motivation to solve this annoying issue, it might be a three star bike. Oh and the seat isnt that comfortable from what I hear either.
