Its a great platform that doesnt require a box mattress. I got a foam m on top and I was worried that it would sag in between the suports. Thankfully this hasnt been the case. Though it is a full thickness mattress. A camping pad might not be so forgiving. Just make sure you have a Phillips Screwdriver. And a better allen wrench would also be good.
My husband is very handy and it did take him some time to put it together. There were lots of pieces. That said, the finished product is beautiful and well worth the $MONEY$.
Excellent bed frame. The bed frame came well packaged with no missing or damaged parts. Assembly was relatively easy once a system was figured out. Assembly took about an hour with 2 people. Not sure how it would work with one. Bed frame is extremely sturdy. The only negative is that the cross members and the sides are at the same level which results in the mattress being able to slide sideways. This hasnt been an issue so far but could be in the future.
Instructions terrible and pieces mislabeled- once we figured out correct pieces which were mislabeled, easier to put together. Had all the pieces been labeled correctly and instructions easier to read, it probably would have taken half the time.
Ive assembled and dissassembled this thing four times now trying to figure out which room in my wacky home is the bedroom. Easy to work with, sturdy yet light, its perfect.
