We just moved and wanted everything new in the house. That could become quite expensive, so I can across this bed. It was actually cheaper and came faster than a twin over twin. It doesnt take up a lot of space, but it does seem a little high but I just positioned this so that the kids wouldnt accidentally hit their head on the ceiling fan getting on the to from the steps. It was easy to put together. My husband and uncle put it together but it could have easily been done by one person. (They had to put together three beds so two was better than one) my only issue is that the mattress I purchased for the full size seems to be smaller than the frame for the bottom bunk. It really isnt an issue for us so far, but Ill keep this updated just in case.
I do like this bunk bed, I just would have preferred if the bars were a little sturdier. It seems a little wobbly. The ladder also has a large gap which makes it a little awkward for kids to climb. I do appreciate the rails going all around the upper bed though.
The directions were not as clear as they should have been - I needed to undo and reassemble a couple of times. That being said, the finished product is attractive and sturdy. However, this project put me in the position of saying that this is the last time that I will be buying something that I need to assemble.
This bed took some time to assemble. Lots of small pieces but it seems pretty sturdy. We bought it for the grandkids while they were down from Alaska for the month. It was a good value for the money .

Great for a year, not so afterwards
The bed was great for awhile but the metal is SO squeaky!! The kids sit and it squeaks! Hence the rating.
