Not easy to assemble. Had a thousand and one pieces. They werent labeled properly. With 2 people it still was pretty challenging BUT the bed itself is wonderful. Sturdy. Nice looking. I love it. Just assembly was the downfall.
My husband was basically able to assemble the whole thing in a little more than a few hours with me helping hold a few pieces a couple of times assembling the frame but he is really good and doing handy work around the house. He was actually pleased with the quality and sturdiness for the price (he was skeptical when I initially ordered the bed) We did have to cut a thin piece of plywood to fit on top of the top and bottom slats to reinforce. I dont think even a coiled mattress would have worked very well on the top bunk without extra support, slats or a bunkie board. I would have rated this a 5 if it wasn't for that and they didnt do the best job packing it for shipping and one of the ladder legs got a pretty good ding in it. Other than that there was really only 1 other small blemish on the paint. All pieces fit together well and seems like its going to work great in our sons room! There was a little bit of an odor for a few days after assembling.
I read the comments prior and was skeptical because of scratches on the wood and hard assembly ! Lets just say I got lucky to not experience any problem and I am a whole woman that put this together by myself
It was an all day Saturday project to be sure but my husband got them up without any problems (he's not very good at those type of things either). The beds are beautiful and the girls love them. They're sturdy and made from very good materials. All in all I'm very glad I went with these beds!
Huge assembly project but very sturdy and attractive when its done. We added plywood on the bottom so we could use a memory foam mattress. Very comfortable. Biggest drawback is that its really hard to make the beds. Thats probably true with any bunk beds.

Good for the price
My daughter loves her bed. I think it will last at least 5 years. The quality is probably 8 out of ten. Looks great put together.

It shipped very quickly and arrived a day ahead of schedule. Bunks are very sturdy. I would definitely buy the same bunk if I had to do it over again.
