I want to love this couch!

I want to love this futon. It is extremely firm, I mean hard like the ground firm. Was trying to save money and have now spent another $150 for a foam topper to use when I sleep, hoping it helps. When you sit on the couch, there is no sinking in at all, so it feels like you are sitting on top of the couch. Its hard to explain. I purchased this as my every day couch and bed. Maybe a futon is only meant for the spare bedroom for guests. I did receive it 2 weeks earlier than estimated. It took me about an hour to put together myself. It is pretty, just not comfortable at all.

    It has an awful smell

Very disappointed. The sofa is very nice for the price, but it smells is awful. Im trying to air it out and had the windows opened for two days (all day and all night) but still very strong and smells like vomit. Is there any suggestion how can get rid of the awful smell? I dont want to even sit on it or touch it. The whole room is now festered with the awful smells that I cant stand it and have to stay out of the room. Im about to return this sofa.

Great couch, and not too firm

I read a lot of reviews that this futon is too firm; its just not true. If youre looking for a pillowy soft couch to sink into, then its not for you, but otherwise, its a normal amount of firm. (Many nice couches are quite firm.) Amazingly large couch for how small the box is. We got it for less than $400, prices vary greatly by color!

    Perfect for guesthouse chill spot!

I was nervous about the color after reading other reviews, but its exactly the color I hoped for. Only took about an hour to assemble. Its a little firm, but if you sit for 5 it gets comfy. Its a heavy box.. the $10 for threshold delivery was worth my back. Hoping it holds up. Love the look!

    Its Alright for me, Dawg.

I have had this futon for nearly a year. Easy enough to put together, sturdy, and it looks good. The issue is comfort; it is like sitting on the pavement. The solution is to buy a bunch of pillows and comfy blankets to make sitting / laying down tolerably pleasant. It serves my purpose; it is a great out of sight and out of mind in the basement, bring the room together futon. If you are buying for comfort and as a primary piece that will see a lot of use, do yourself a favor and keep looking.

    This is the one

So Ive had this sleeper sofa for a while now about 6 months. I must say its worth it. As someone who uses it daily as a couch and nightly as a bed it has not fallen apart or even broken in anyway shape or form. I remember people commenting that after a while you have to push it against a wall to keep it in couch mode, but that isnt true for me. It is still sturdy in all 3 modes. I have nothing negative to say about this product. I purchased a 3 memory foam topper that I roll up most mornings that makes it more comfortable and bed like to sleep on. In sleep position it is just the tiniest bit slanted, but really not noticeable with the foam topper. I had so much doubt about going from an actual Bed to a sleeper sofa because of living in a studio and I must say JUST DO IT DAMMIT!!! I dont regret it one bit. Change is hard but its definitely worth it. Simple to put together, quality fabric, sturdy. Maybe not extremely comfortable but still comfy.
