Roomy, but not a simple set-up.

Its roomy, but its a pain to set up. I have done it single-handed, but I recommend having help. There is ample space for two adults along with bags and such. It has two interior pockets (on opposite sides) for keys and such. I noticed that some tents have only one pocket, so that was a factor in my choice to not buy a different tent. After using this, Im not so much a fan of the gazebo/screen porch. I thought I would like it, but now I wish I had opted for a simpler non-gazebo design. The rain-fly has 7 guy-wire-strings (trip-hazards) when fully set-up, and I think most are due to the gazebo feature.

    This tent is AMAZING!

I was sure I would love this tent as soon as I saw how wide the footprint is. My belief was confirmed when I managed to set it up in 6 minutes and discovered I could do jumping jacks inside the main area. The drain along the bottom of the porch area is a really nice detail and should come in handy during rainy weather. Ive seen people complaining about the back wall having such a large screen, but that can easily be dealt with by clipping a small tarp over it when I want extra privacy. One thing to keep in mind is that the tent stakes that come with this tent will NOT work.Theyre far too thin and short, and pull up out of the ground with almost no effort. Any responsible camper has more than a couple types of tent stakes, though, so I dont really see this as a problem.

The front screened in portion does get wet in the rain, I just use a tarp shelter for that portion.

I brought my infrared heater and the tent stayed nice and warm

This is a very well made tent. My only complaint is there is not a electric port. I went camping last weekend (October 13 14, 2017). I brought my infrared heater and the tent stayed nice and warm. I have a columbia 10 person instant tent but its to big when it gets cold. I put my electric cord thru the front porch. I had trouble putting it up by myself. But a new friend on the next camp site helped me. I think if you stake the corners down you can put it up yourself. I put a ez up canopy over the front porch. If you put sides on the ez up it will keep the rain out. I like this tent and look forward to camping more next year. Hopefully this review will help. Thank you

Good tent. Wife loves the screened porch

Good tent. Wife loves the screened porch. Good ventilation for the warmer seasons, not so good for cold weather.

lots of useful features and pockets

the reviews about the back side having no covering are true. this is fixed with the rainfly cover in place. overall though this is a downright luxurious tent, especially considering the price. lots of useful features and pockets, and easy to set up and take down. also, conveniently, a tarp from the hardware store works great as a ground cover--its nearly a perfect fit and was dirt cheap. great for car camping.

    Glamping!

Really nice tent, felt like we were glamping. Pretty easy to set up and take down. Even got it back into the bag after realizing it can be expanded! The screen room helps keep out dirt and gives you a place to relax and sit in the shade. So much room inside, its like having a hotel room in the outdoors. You can stand up and have a changing area too. So far, we love it!

thats better than the inside of the tent

8 person tent with 1 Adult and 1 Cub Scout! very light gear, and nothing even remotely touching the sides of the tent. Temp was Low 60s to mid 70s on a 2 night 3 day camping trip. Sadly, as other has said and taken pictures of - this tent...has some water issues. Our trip was wet, wet, wet but we had no wind. Issue 1: As noted by others, the front porch turns into a hot, muddle, disaster area when it rains. Granted, thats better than the inside of the tent, BUT.....dont even think about keeping anything you care about outside if its raining; even if it looks safe We ended up having to roast our shoes on the fire to get them dry them. Our folding chairs were drenched. And, oh the pools of water. You absolutely want the front of the tent at a downward angle so that the swamp can go some where. Itll still be a muddy mess, but at least you wont need to swim. Obviously, none of this is an issue when its not raining. Issue 2: Pretty much the entire rear of the tent is ventilation, so if it is raining you can pretty much expect to get drops on you at a fairly consistent rate. All we had was rain, rain, and more rain for a solid 6-8 hours with no wind, and about 3 hours into it you could see the rain drops starting on the inside of the rain cover. Randomly we would get a drop here and there, nothing super painful, but I cant imagine having to deal with this in the wind - Ugh...I honestly have no clue what I would have done if it was windy because there really isnt a safe place to move your stuff. Now, the inner wall of the tent itself did get wet, but not even remotely close to the rain cover. Issue 3: We have 1 Corner on the inside of the tent was wicking the wet from the outside in. Nothing a towel didnt clean up, but...yeah, I was pretty sad to see that. Again, there are other reviews with pictures...this does happen! We had all of our stuff at least 1 foot from any wall. I tried to figure out where it was coming from, but I have no clue. It was at the seam where the tarp bottom and the fabric sides meet - and right at the corner we could see a fairly constant drip drip drip. We have the tent up properly and will all guide lines staked and run tight - so Im not exactly sure where it was coming from. All that said, I do like this tent and I think its going to be good for my family, especially because we dont go camping that often. I think this tent would be amazing when its not raining thats for sure, and I cant use it again in the future. It was easy to put up, and my 7 yo and I put it up in the rain in about 20 minutes, so it wasnt too bad.
