I am 75 and cant go long distances on my standard bike anymore. I replaced the seat with a higher quality wide saddle seat. After a learning curve (there is definitely a learning curve if you havent ever road an ebike) I gave it three nice rides. I ran three different Central Florida riding trails averaging about 12 miles each. All had stop and go with other bike traffic and pedestrian use. Top speed 22.5 mph. Average overall speed for the three rides 13.6 mph. I probably did better but I forgot to pause my map tracker app a couple of times.
I reprogrammed the control from the factory setting of three power modes to five power modes. Mode one is only a crawl speed mode to flow with pedestrians. About three mph. Mode two for parking lots about eight mph. Now mode 3,4,5 start the good stuff. 12, 17, and 21 mph.
You need to keep the pedals moving but you dont need to engage the sprocket hub. In other words when I ride a 20 mph I only need to mantain a slow revolution. As long as the magnets in the motor recognize pedal movement the power is applied at your preset control speed.
Now in mode 0 you have throttle control. Nice to use at cross walks.
I never used more then 25 of the battery on any trip. This tells me I can get an easy 35 miles pluss and I weigh 240 lbs.
I would highly recommend this bike.
It is very comfortable but It is too heavy for me to use in nyc. It weights more than 66lbs. I didnt feel I could control its weight well when stopping or in a crowd. Love riding it! I had issues with the wheel attached to the handlebars . Only one screw. Customer service is from China so slow. we had a flat responded right away and is sent a new tube.but it was defective. This great bike shop showed me how cheap the tires are. All of these e bikes come with cheap tires I invested in quality ones cant afford flats. 3inch. . now I feel comfortable with this bike in nyc. My son will use it and maybe me once in a while. Its very cool bike!
Love that it folds but I found an electric Brompton that works better for me 30lbs totally different kind of bike. Store is in town for parts if needed Its a commuter bike vs a fat tire rugged bike

I can take the folded in my Tesla and go to a park for some fun riding.
Perfect electric bike long battery life with pedal assist. Only downside is customer service takes forever through email or Facebook. No phone number to call is a major negative

Assembly was easy with tools provided.
My main reason for purchasing this bike was to aid in exercise with bone on bone knee osteoarthritis in both knees. Im 61 and after a lifetime of hard work heavy lifting and being on my feet for long hours. I was having a hard time doing my old exercise routine of jogging or even walking long enough to achieve any kind of workout before the pain took me off my feet. The ebike takes the weight off my leg and pedaling with the power assist gives me the workout I need. I use power level 2. I still must pedel but my bad knees get help from the nominal 500 watts motor. Battery life was as listed with assist. The fat 4 inch tire help balance and shock absorption for a smooth ride. I studied this purchase and everything you get makes the 999 a great deal. Most other same same bikes will run more . And something I also found out metal gears in rear motor not nylon so you also get some durability if your packing some weight the rated at 330 lbs. can handle most riders height and weight.
So yes so far a great purchase and delivery was 8 days early.

Love the bike except for the tires CRAP!
