This umbrella is very sturdy and well engineered. Assembly was quick and easy. Even with bad rotator cuff issues I can still operate it easily. I feel this is a ver good value and would definitely recommend.
Bought this for the roof patio. I wasnt sure if it will be big enough to give good amount of shade, but it definitely does! Its huge! I would like to purchase the base from this company (on , but seems unavailable at moment). It was easy assembly, product looks very sturdy. Im satisfied with the product.
I was unhappy with the fact this product was shown in most pictures as having a base when the base was sold separately. I submitted a review based on that and was contacted by customer service. They addressed my concerns in a fair way. I cannot comment on the umbrella, but I can tell you the company stands by their products in my experience.
Umbrella is very sturdy which is important here in the Arizona winds. It was easy for this old guy to assemble. Im impressed by the sturdy design and the ease of deploying the cover which I do every time the winds start rising. It was easy to assemble (basically two parts) for this guy in his 70s.
Pretty much ready to easily assemble and go: 4 base bolts and 2 column bolts to join 2 vertical pieces. But we quickly saw that the cantilever design was going to make anchoring it the key issue; it pretty much wanted to tip over from the git/go. I wanted to molly bolt the assembled base into the concrete patio. The boss wanted the base located just off the patio on the dirt. So I shopped around and found strong Earth Anchors at Menards hardware for a good price. I brought home two15 anchors and two 30 anchors, because I wasnt sure that 15 was deep enough to achieve a solid anchor. We get heavy winds from the West, so I started with screwing the two 15 anchors in for the East side of the base. Net: I didnt feel like 15 was really getting a firm enough anchor, so I put the 30 anchors on the West side of the base. They were tough to get set, even though each one cut thru some roots along the way (Hint: its all about leverage !) Once I finished, I was sure that with the 1/2 steel rod that I ran thru the anchor eyes and across the feet ot the umbrella base (see pic 2), the umbrella will break before the base moves anywhere ! A 30 earth anchor has a load weigh of 2,400 lbs(Note: I cut the 4 steel rod to length once in position and put 1/2 Shaft Collars on all 4 ends / not in pic.)
Umbrella opens easily. Tilt function is an easy one/handed operation. Swivel works like a charm.
This is my second cantilever umbrella. The one I bought before was definitely not sturdy and the base was pretty cumbersome. This has a nice low profile base and its easy to operate and I love the idea that you can adjust it with just a trigger grip or to crank it and rotate. The only negative is in a Highwind the umbrella will rotate slightly and theres no way to lock the crank down. Otherwise this is a great umbrella
Umbrellas were bolted to pool deck and are very popular with guest. Special care should be taken in windy conditions! Original was damaged in shipping but costumer service replaced it promptly.
Ive revised my review below and why I changed my rating. There were issues as stated below and customer service did reach out to make sure I was fully satisfied. Offered a full replacement of product or compensation for not being satisfied on my issues. I chose the latter as I feel compensation was fair enough not to return the product. Customer service was very good and made sure I was happy. Besides my issues below, it is a very nice looking umbrella and very solid. Easy to assemble. Just note that you will need to purchase a base and will need the larger capacity base that holds 170+lbs water and/or sand. Those should be in the 150 range. Its a big umbrella and will need the extra weight to be sturdy in strong winds.
Previous review:
If youre looking for a 10ft umbrella as advertised, look elsewhere as it is a good deal less than 10ft. Guessing if I now order 11ft, I might expect 10 1/2ft. Canopy has small holes in it. Whats up with that. Crank to rotate has no definitive stops to keep it set in position. Sways 1/2ft in a mild wind. Reached out to customer service. Will be waiting to see what response to my issues I receive. Until then, highly disappointed over a 500 umbrella I was highly anticipating being great

Surprisingly easy to assemblethen its all about anchoring

Base support
The picture showed with the support base had no idea it did not come with it. Had to order it separately. Other than that its a really nice umbrella
Should not be used in windy conditions, assembly was easy and they look nice.
