I'm a football player in college that bunks with another player in a dorm. I weigh 240 lbs and my buddy weighs 225 lbs and this bunk bed doesn't even move or wiggle getting on and off the top or bottom. Also you want to go with a Lucid 10 inch extra long twin mattress. Not only is it the best sleep, but you can fit it in the bed area and it fills up the bunk all the way. It also makes it silent when one person gets up during the night and you can't even tell anybody is getting up. The length of the bunk bed is about 78" and the foam mattress is 80" that is another great thing about foam it squeezes in nicely and gives you every inch the bed can give you for the taller person like myself. I'm 6'3" and have more than enough room.
Two years later bunk bed has been used a ton still with the 2 twin xl lucid 10" memory foam mattresses. Not even a hiccup or a squeak. Bunk is still strong with top bunk player is at 250lbs and on the bottom at 265lbs. Two big boys and the this bunk is great. I'm sure that the memory foam is a big help to the incredible silence of the bunk. The setup I used and left in my review has to be one for the ages, affordable, unbelievably comfortable, strong, silent and both on at the best price. Enjoy with confidence.
I'm a grown woman living in a studio and having this bunk bed really opened up spaces for me. It does wobble when you get on it but this is to be expected, as far as I remember, any bunk I climbed on wobbled. It still feels really sturdy. The only bad points in my opinion is how thin the ladder bars are (I added pipe insulating tubes on them, as another review suggested) and how we have to climb over the railing on top. It's a bit odd at first but the more you go up there, the easier it gets.
I'm really satisfied with my purchase.
I'm a petite, 23 y/o living in NYC and needed some more space for a smaller sized room. It is sturdy but just a tad wobbly; nothing major. The ladder is very thin so it's a little inconvenient getting in and out of the bed. Construction took a couple of hours with one other person. It serves it's purpose for opening up space in my room. I would recommend more for a small teen or child.
I'm a single mom who shares a room with my 7yr old daughter and this is a true space saver. These beds are "friend magnets" all of my daughters play dates are a hit because of this fantastic bunk beds.
Easy to put together and sturdy enough for the great price.
I love my bottom bunk because it blocks the light from my IPAD so it doesn't disturb my daughters sleep.
Can't beat cost!!!
I'm an 18 years old college and I weigh about 210 pounds (give or take a few). This bed is very sturdy and holds me, my mattress, and a ton of blankets, pillows, and a giant teddy bear. I'm definitely lose to the weight limit, but I've never had to be afraid of this bed because it's extremely sturdy. Of course every once in a while when you move you feel it shake a bit, but that's completely normal and barely noticeable. The railings are at a good height (and I got a slightly thicker mattress as well).
My one and only complaint is the ladder. This ladder is so unbelievably uncomfortable and painful that I was using a step ladder for a while. Eventually my dad and I came up with a solution (well, he did anyway lol). He built me my own little staircase out of wood which made my bed much easier to get into (and doesn't kill my feet!). If you are using the ladder, keep a pair of shoes by the bed to use for when you climb up and down so you don't hurt your feet!
I'm an adult man 5"11, 180 lbs. A little wobbly getting up, but feels safe once I'm up there. Great for saving space. I stuck a couch underneath and space wise this was a great decision. Only complaint is the ladder is a little rough on the feet.
I'm beyond thrilled with this bunk bed - and I love that it comes in black. We followed other reviewers advice and skipped the advice and were able to set it up with no problems.
Since our oldest is 2 1/2 and our youngest (6 months) is in a crib still, we decided to set up just a single twin bed for now with the guard rails and it's a perfect toddler bed!
I look forward to having this bunk bed/twin bed set for a long time.
I'm really pleased with this bed. I was so worried because the box arrived in terrible shape. It was bulging in several places and the styrofoam was sticking out of the box. There were literally footprints all over it. I unpackaged it and the contents we're in perfect shape. I assembled it by myself, which I don't recommend, but it was possible. I just turned it on its side, instead of upside down, for the last few steps.
The only downside for me, is that it is really only built for a 7" mattress. Mine is 8". I ordered a bed rail because I just know daredevil will find a way to hurt herself.
Oh yeah, don't forget to think about your ceiling fan clearance. I did not and now I'm stuck trying to replace it with a smaller fan because I am not returning this fully assembled bed.
I'm really pleased with this bunk bed! I read all the horror stories posted on here about how difficult it was to put together. To be honest, it was real simple, and the directions are easy to follow! I expected it to be a lot of parts, considering it's a bunk bed! The days when I used to play with Legos came in real handy (insert bolt here, put washer on bolt wow)! Thanks Walker Edison! Excellent product and great value! Couldn't ask for more! Maybe if you can get a Miller Lite babe to come over and build it for me next time it might get six stars!

no instructions
im putting it together soon but it didn't come with instructions. so far seems pretty good otherwise
Very sturdy, great for 7" mattress and smaller, don't forget to check your ceiling fan distance!
