I was very leery about buying bunk beds on line. But I had very few options after our supposedly reputable family run furniture store here in San Diego, totally left us in a lurch after sitting on our order for a week. I had 4 adult size guests due to arrive and no beds to accommodate them for sleeping. We ordered 2 sets of the beds and 4 of the 6" mattresses. We put 1 set together the evening it arrived and the second set the following morning. Assembly takes two…..unless you have an unlimited amount of books, ladders, or other devices to prop up the "other end" as you work. The directions were ok, BUT THE ADVICE FROM THE S WAS EVEN BETTER! MANY, MANY THX TO YOU ALL FOR TAKING THE TIME TO WRITE SUCH WELL THOUGHT OUT, DETAILED, INFORMATIVE REVIEWS! IT MADE THE SALE AND WAS GREATLY APPRECIATED DURING THE ASSEMBLY PROCESS! We had no problem with alignment of the pieces with the predrilled holes. There were a few problems with some of the mattress support rods being a fraction of an inch too long, but we were able to move them around until they all fit. The ladder attachment was somewhat awkward and could have been better described in the directions. The biggest problem was with the little plastic squares from Hell. They worked…eventually…but who thought that was a good idea?! Even using a flat tool to apply pressure to assemble these little demons was excruciating to our fingers…especially my arthritic fingers. Thank goodness there were two of us! Needless to say, the second bed was assembled in half of the time as the first. After a very interesting assembly experience and about 2 weeks of use, I can say that I am very pleased with the sturdiness and stability of the beds and feel that they were a great value for the price. (I regained full motion of my fingers after a couple of days)
I was very satisfied with this items sturdiness, it has been a few months and it is not showing signs of wear or tear. The color goes with our room seamlessly. It makes annoying creaking noises if all the parts haven't been completely tightened, and the instructions are hard to follow in some parts, causing me to take apart what I am doing and reassemble it. The bunk bed came with part that were missing or broken, but the company sent replacement parts very quickly (if you have to do this remember to have the lot number and item number on hand).
All things considered, the product could be better, but it hold true enough not to be returned. For being under $200 I'd give this 4 stars.
I was very surprised by the quality of the product. Most bunk style beds are very flimsy. I have to say, after getting this together it is very sturdy and is a great addition to my sons room. He absolutely loves it and I couldn't agree more.
I was wondering whether this would be sturdy enough for the 160-pound, twenty-five year old guy who is using it, and it is. It shakes a bit when he rolls over, but that's because we didn't anchor it to the wall (we have just the bed, not the desk underneath). The seems sturdy enough -- we've been using it a month now and nothing has bent or bowed. The bright white finish looks great. Assembled by one person. Took a few hours, but it wasn't overly challenging. Very pleased.
I was worried about putting this together after reading the reviews and seeing the plastic clips but it honestly took me about 20 minutes to do them all. Just make sure the clip is right side up, stick one side in, and apply pressure to the other side (I used the side of a pair of pliers against the plstic clip.) I did have to unscrew two things (in the first step) because I didn't think ahead about which side another hoel needed to face. I also have not jsu installded the ladder so I have no comment as far as it's security/comfort. I put the mattress ont he bottom and laid down, I am short and heavy) and is didn't move at all. No squeaking even when I was wiggling around.
I was worried about the cost of this bed but I’m not looking back. My daughter loves it. Their service was amazing when we had a broken piece. The installation took a long time but it’s worth it.
I was worried it might not fit on there. But it hooks perfectly on to the side of my daughter's IKEA Vitval loft bed. Much more heavy duty quality than I even expected. Very sturdy and was super easy to put together.
I wish the ladder stairs were flat and not rounded. My daughter says that her feet hurt when going up or down from the ladder. One of the pieces was defective, so I got in contact with service and they replaced the part right away.
I would give five stars when reading on service alone. The bed arrived missing several pieces, and one of the pieces was mis-drilled. I contacted Walker Edison through their website and received a response within a day. The individual pieces were out of stock however, the service rep offered to send a whole new bed free of charge for us too take the missing parts from.
This bed is good for kids and preteens. I'm not sure how it would hold up for anyone upwards of 200lbs. It was a pain to assemble, mostly because of the ceiling fan in the bedroom. However, given we needed it due to the small space, it's worth not being able to use the ceiling fan. There were missing pieces in our original shipment, including not enough washers or screws. If not for the second bed that came free of charge, we would have been forced to return it. It does wobble when someone is climbing up. We have not had to tighten any of the screws so far, after 2 weeks of use. There is no storage capacity, it is just a frame and a bed.

GREAT VALUE FOR THE PRICE, BUT BE PREPARED FOR AN INTENSIVE ASSEMBLY

Good, but still some complaints.

Love It

Clips are not hard to install so don't let that discourage you from buying

Great bed!

Perfect for Ikea bed too
I was worried it might not fit on there. But it hooks perfectly on to the side of my daughter's IKEA Vitval loft bed. Much more heavy duty quality than I even expected. Very sturdy and was super easy to put together.
Good product
I wish the ends could be reversed where the ladder is to make them mirror images.
You get what you pay for

Sturdy enough for a preteen, not sure about durability
