All four boxes arrived in tact and un/ damaged / bonus! I did have one piece of wood break, but I simply used wood glue. It broke in an area where it would be supported, screwed in, and framed, so it was an easy fix. The bed has to be assembled in stages, starting with box 1, then box 2, and so on. Because I was doing this alone and working in a small bedroom, I was placing the sections together as I completed them.
Now, the directions recommended having two people / Im sure it would have been easier with two people, but its not necessary. I did use a battery/charged screwdriver; you DO have to be careful and if you can adjust the torque, do so. The wood is soft and it will crack. I had read this in other reviews, and they were accurate observations.
The directions pamphlet can be a bit confusing. The pamphlet is in box 1 and includes the directions for each of the other boxes, as well; however, the pages are not labeled or separated clearly. When I first started putting it together, I fumbled a few times, having to flip pages, wondering, Now, where was I? After a few instances of this, I grabbed a pen to mark each page as I completed the steps. It made the process much smoother.
Lastly, and with regard to the diagrams: REALLY pay attention to the details in the diagrams. Each and every piece fit perfectly, and all of the holes are right where they are supposed to be and lined up with the other parts and pieces / but you DO have to look for those subtle details in the pictures.
Im really enjoying this bed! If you are intimidated by the thought of putting the bed together, dont be. It took me 3 days, and I took breaks throughout those days, but it wasnt hard. Using power tools (interchangeable phillips and allen) is a must as long as youre careful. Overall, it was definitely worth it. very stable.
It is solid beautiful wood. Very good quality. Lots of storage. A bit of work to put together because there are a ton of screws but the instructions are very good and easy to understand and all pieces are marked. My only complaint is the slide out nightstand. The way it slides is cheesy given the craftsmanship of everything else and they are very small. Otherwise I am very happy with this purchase. Smart design.

I used to need a step stool to get into bed with my old frame box spring. I really wanted to get rid of the box spring and this repeatedly came up in my searches. I read all the reviews and honestly, yes its a pain in the butt to put together. You definitely need more than one person. And aside from stubbing my toes, I love this bed frame. I threw out the box spring and can get in out by myself. I have storage to put sheets some winter clothes. I love the storage the little side tables that come out. Ive been using it for just over a month and Im very happy. Theres no squeaking like some stated. Well made just what I was looking for!
This platform bed is much better than I expected. It is solid wood and very sturdy, no cheap particle board. It is very heavy so it does not move. Also there is no motion transfer and joints squeaking. It is full of storage drawers and shelves that can store a lot. We got the King size and it is a true King, NOT a Cal King. It is very complicated to build, I suggest a carpenter. We hired one and he even said it was challenging. It took him 7 hours total to assemble by himself.
We also got the headboard, its aming. Quick ship.
It takes a while to put together by yourself. I bought 2 of them and didnt receive everything at the same time but the rest did come in the very next day, the sender even helped me confirm it and were very nice. My kids have slept on them for a few days now and absolutely love them and they are really sturdy. This is really easy to assemble and pretty sturdy.

Not as hard to assemble as some reviewers make out.
It took us 3 hours to put it together. Its completely sturdy. I give this product a top rating. Looks great too by the way. This item was correct.
