We bought this bed for our seven year old son. He loves it.
Positives
It's very sturdy and has adequate railings to make sure he doesn't all out of bed.
This bed is a great space saver for a small bedroom. We were able to put a lot of my son's things underneath it and now he has a lot of room to play.
Overall it is a great bed for the price that work in a child's room or possibly in a dorm room.
Negatives:
This bed requires a lot of assembly. It takes quite a while to put together and has a heavy frame. I put it together myself, but it may be easier with two people.
The bed will make some noise if the person in it is moving around a lot. It's a squeaking type of noise that can get a little annoying if your child is a little rambunctious.
We bought this for my daughter’s college apartment. The bed is not as sturdy as we had hoped, and after putting it together (TONS of pieces) and putting the mattress on, we decided it didn’t feel sturdy enough for her to sleep on for the year. We decided to return it, which was made very easy through .
For reference, my daughter is about 5’6, and 155lbs.
We bought this for our 7 year old. (Excuse my language) but it's a bitch to put together...It's a little high, and there's no opening where you get out which makes you have to literally climb out every time and the latter bars are too thin, it hurts your feet.
We bought this for our granddaughter and she absolutely loves it...It's her "balcony" bed. She loves to be up high and is a climber so it fits her perfectly and it is quit sturdy. The space under the loft gets redecorated quite often.
We bought this for our two girls, 6 & 4. We don't have long term plans for this bed--maybe a year or two until the 6 year old is comfortable enough to transition to her own room--and I am sure that the bed isn't made to last long term. I do have to say that the package arrived quickly and nothing was damaged. In putting the bed together, I quickly realized how poorly the instructions were written. We had put together a bunkbed/futon combo the previous night for our oldest child and those instructions were much more informative.
As we put together the bunkbed, we became familiar with those nasty plastic tabs everyone talks about. They a a total pain in the neck and I eventually gave up and let my hubby finish because he is much stronger. Some tabs went in easily and some were extremely hard. There is a trick to them in that you have to make sure they are facing the right direction before you try to press them in.
When e bed was all put together, my husband commented on how much sturdier the bed is compared to the other one we put together. I do agree. However, when my 55 pound kid climbs up the ladder, the whole bed creaks and shakes. I'm not confident it would safely hold the 300 lbs. it claims to hold on each level. I am neutral on this bed. It was cheap, arrived quickly and will serve its purpose. If I planned on keeping it around for a long time, I'd probably knock off another star.
We bought this loft for our daughter who needed some more space for a desk. The desk attachment from this company is pretty expensive, so we just got the loft desk attachment from IKEA and made it pretty easily!! It's super strong and beautiful color. Our daughter has been in love with it, making forts and decorating. Definitely recommend!
We bought this to maximize the sleeping spaces in our tiny mobile home bedrooms. Were able to squish a Twin XL mattress into it, but it really takes a Twin.
Pros: - ladders at both ends of bed make it versatile for positioning
- it can fit over a queen bed. Inside Length is 78", so if your queen is not longer than this, it may be able to fit
length wise over the bed, as well as over the head.
- light enough that it can be moved quite easily around once it is assembled.
- straightforward assembly (my husband did it singlehandedly)
- no defects in paint or otherwise
Cons: - not sure an adult would feel secure sleeping on it. It wobbled a lot when I (155 lb. woman) climbed up on
it to make the bed
- the ladder is a bit tricky to dismount from with the rail going all around the entire circumference, rails may
be a bit hard on tender feet
We bought this twin over twin bunk bed for our 1.5 and almost 3 year old. We picked it because we could start off using it as two twin beds side by side (see the third picture on the description). This two separate twin bed configuration is how we are planning on using it for the next few years until our kids are old enough to use the bunk bed safely. We paid $150 with free shipping and for that price we got a great deal in TWO beds. The beds are sturdy, safe, and cute. The are no sharp anything and they are low enough that my 1.5 year old can get on and off the bed by himself without any problems. Note: we do have railings on the exposed side of the beds since both of my kids tend to roll in their sleep. We have the extra large railings that only leaves a small opening for them to climb to sleep! You seriously cannot tell the two beds are part of a bunk bed.
Before putting the beds together, we printed the directions previous reviewers posted and with that and the original instruction the beds were ready in about 20 minutes. Time mostly spent on unwrapping parts: It was pack very carefully.
Finally, It is great to know that in the future we can have a bunk bed to save space or to add fun to the kids room. For now, we simply love this two beds!
WE Furniture Full Metal Loft Bed - Silver. Pretty easy to put together. Need two people. Sturdy enough for kids/teens, maybe even adults. Only problem is kids complain ladder rungs are hard on the feet when climbing on or off. That's why I didn't give it 5 stars.

Better for child- not too sturdy for teen/adult.

Just okay. A pain to put together.
