We were so disappointed in this set. I dont have anything to say about the futon mattress; it arrived over a week before the frame and we were waiting to set up the frame before unwrapping, it, so we didnt unpack it. When we pulled the frame arms from their box, the first thing we saw were dings and scratches in several places. But the real deal breaker was that the arms were glued together without even being lined up properly. The finish color was OK--a light cherry rather than dark. But overall, the frame looked cheap--especially given the price of $620 for the set. Were returning it and sincerely hope the return process wont be a nightmare.
The instructions for the futon were excellent. I put it together by myself except for the last step when the upper section had to be placed on the base. The futon is sturdy and well-made. The mattress is comfortable with no issues. The two boxes containing the futon arrived three days before the mattress, so it is good to know that ahead of time. Shipping information was only available for the futon and I just had to wait without arrival information on the mattress.
Horrible!! It was terrible to put together. Impossible to lay down and put back up. You need 3 people to do that. The mattress stinks! It smells like petroleum laced with insecticide!! I have had it in the open air for day and it still stinks! I would return it but how? It is put together in a room. I feel totally cheated out of my money!

I thought this was a little expensive but Im very happy with it. It looks nice and is very comfortable as a couch and a bed. Definitely a good purchase!!
Bought queen size. A bit of work to assemble, and some steps are better with 2 people. Sturdy once together. Queen size is pretty deep to sit on. Mattress has plastic tabs, so youll want a cover.

Nice value for the money
This was fairly easy to assemble for the two of us. It did take every bit of 2 hours but it went well. We are happy with our purchase.
