The width of each was slightly more than advertised, but just enough that it would not work in the space needed. Three things to consider before purchasing this item:
1) The width is 1/8 inch wider than advertised. Calculate accordingly.
2) Returns are NOT free. Only free shipping for receipt of the item and though I have not found an online site that can quote the dimensions, it appears it may be cost prohibitive. If at all in doubt, consider making your purchase locally for this item.
3) Although they do stack well, the shape of the containers makes for a significant amount inefficient
and unble space. This is not obvious in the photos and is something to consider.
If the above are not issues for you, they do appear to be sturdy.
Like the price but I thought they would be bigger but I love the waterproof safety. Will replace inside foam with insulation foam to insure protections.

These stack great
Due to the stacking ability container volume is reduced.
lid broke/cracked right away. Not even sure how . But it did.
