This thing is the best bed I've ever seen for kids. I had no drill and put this together in 9 hours by hand. It H U R T. I could have done this pain-free in 3-4 hours if I had a drill. I HIGHLY recommend the bed, though - it's so sturdy and just a real joy! Get a 75 long twin (xl) mattress.
The bed is beautiful and the kids love it in their new mountains themed room. However the smell from something the used on it is still lingering over a week later. It's been cleaned and the rooms been sprayed, candles burned, air cleaners run etc and it still has a strong chemical scent.
You have to follow the instructions carefully and it took a while to get it put together, but it is great. The slats seem a bit further apart than I would have liked. Very happy with how it looks and how sturdy it is.

The bed is poorly stained very uneven,.The bed was not sanded, there are multiple areas that will provide you with spleners if you touch it and to top it all off I had to modify some of the parts to work because the wrong parts were sent. VERY UNHAPPY I HAOPE MY 3 YEAR OLD DOESNT GET HURT!
This is actually a quality bunk bed. Its sturdy and my husband had no problem putting it together, it was all pre-drilled. My 8 year older and 5 yr old have been bouncing around on it and its holding up just fine. The wood is smooth as well.
Ordered this bed for my 5 year old. We needed to have room for guests to come and stay as well as floor space for our kids to play. As far as the bed goes, so far I have ZERO complaints. It seems pretty sturdy and is super easy to convert into the king. My one complaint is on delivery. We got box 2 of 2 on a Saturday which was in the time frame and then didnt receive box 1 of 2 until that following Thursday which was useless because I had guests in town Monday-Thursday. So it coming in two different boxes a week apart and after the expected delivery date was an inconvenience. But overall would buy again. Also adding that the trundle mattress can be no larger than 6 inches.
I haven't experienced the bed yet in regards to sturdiness but was told it feels sturdy so far. Assembly took about a day and a half for my senior parents. The whole process from order to Assembly took some time due to a mix up on shipping, but they had great customer service and remedied the issue as quickly as they could. I look forward to Thanksgiving to see how this bunk bed will accommodate my family of 4 for the holidays at grandma's house!
Love the bunk bed. My 2 and 3 year olds LOVE IT! Its not too tall so I dont worry about them falling but the bottom bunk still has plenty of room. Only negative is the trundle underneath isnt stained inside but you can see the boards from the side so I wish they had stained every visible part but its under the bed so its really not something anyone else would notice.
We had a team of two assembling so it wasnt too difficult and didnt take too long but it would be a chore for one. I added slats to increase the top bunk strength. The design is beautiful. The trundle requires a short mattress. I ended up with a 5 because of the design it is hard to get anything else to slide under there easily. I am very happy with the unit.
