I really like this bench! Always hesitant when buying these assemble yourself furniture packages, but this went together fairly easily and my mechanic husband did not grumble at all! The material is sturdy too.
The bench needs a cushion to hide the separation of the compartments but even without it, it looks niceee. I will be getting some baskets to put inside to contain the winter gloves and hats as it is just one big area.
If everyone in your house has big adult feet this may not be the best because you would have to shift the shoes to make the flap shut other than that its great. My you ger sister assembled it so I would say its easy assembly. Doesnt need many tools other than a screwdriver and a power drill. Cute and sturdy my mom loved it.

The bench looks amazing but did not come with all of the hardware required to complete the assembly and more than half of the screws had solid heads on them so you couldnt use them even if you wanted to.
Installation instruction wasnt that clear, also not all boards came with labeled numbers. But not a big deal, just a little time consuming. One of the front boards came with mild scratches as you can see from the pictures. Other than that its a niceee looking and practical shoe storage, also very sturdy, gooddd value for money.
