    No complaints; very nice product

I was pretty nervous about assembly after reading the reviews, but it turned out very well. I found that the Allen wrench fit as well as Id expect, and didnt see an issue with the size of screw holes. One reviewer suggested holding the dowel with a rubber-backed mouse pad while tightening the bolt; I did that, and it provided a very good grip. Maybe the manufacturer has responded to the reviews by improving the parts and wrench a bit. Im also using wood glue to secure the caps. The manufacturer cautions not to tighten all the bolts until everything is lined up just right, and then to take care not to over-tighten. Very attractive stool, and very sturdy.

I should have looked around more and not buy right away.

It is good its just that I found a cheaper one from a different store.

Nice, simple, sturdy stool for use in the kitchen.

Felt like I needed 3 hands to get it started for assemble. They should send a disposable bungee or something. Maybe a giant rubber band.. just to help hold until you can get the crossbars stabilized.

Too much work for this simple item

It took me a little bit too much work to build it up, and even when it was finished and tied all the parts, it kept swirling and moving

Well made, but needs a better hex tool to assemble

This was purchased as a stool for a workshop setting- it will work fine for that. It is made in Vietnam, using a typical relatively blond hardwood as used in many other inexpensive but sturdy pieces of utility furniture I have bought on . The only fault is that the provided hex tool is too small and short to have good leverage for the force needed for installing the hex head wood screws- this doesn't surprise me, as the small basic hex tools supplied are often not quite up to the job. A tool like the DeWalt DWHT70263M Folding Locking Hex Key Set, MM, makes the assembly straight forward, as long as you have a bit of arm strength. My 65 year old GF might have had trouble with it, but as a 6' 2 long time woodworker and craftsman, my 69 YO arms had no problems. The wooden plugs for the screw holes fit fit, and tapped down nicely with a standard rubber mallet. Recommended, as long as you have a good mm hex wrench and rubber mallet.

    Good looking stool

The assembly was easy but I used my own Allen wrench. Great finish on the entire stool.
