This has been a great bunk bed so far. I knocked a star off because the safety part on the top bunk bed does have one part where the metal in the grid was bent out a little. My kids love this 3 bed as they call it. The top bunk isnt too high so that I dont have to worry about the ceiling fan, at the same time though it does make it a little hard not to bump my head while tucking the bottom child in.
This bed is PERFECT for my three kiddos. I put the entire thing together ALONE in no time with a two year old helping. The trundle feature rolls in and out very easily although it is not attached to the actual frame in any way so this can be great or a pain depending on your intended use of the third bed. I was impressed with the company and actually went on to buy another bed fron them shortly after this one and was very happy with that one as well.
The bed arrived fairly quickly, easy to assemble. We have a 6 inch mattress on the trundle, and when we put just a basic sheet and thin comforter on it, thectrundle doesnt pull out or slide under easily. The trundle is probably best suited for a 4 inch matress. Other than that, the bed is sturdy and a space saver!
This bed is great. I was a little skeptical at first because of how low it looks. Its a lot better than i expected. Not sure why some people said the instructions were not good enough. I thought the instructions were actually pretty easy to follow. My only complaint is that there was four dowel pins missing on the steps of the ladder. No big deal i bought some at lowes for like 2 bucks.
