I was skeptical on how it was going to be from the reviews, but took a chance and everything showed up great. The assembly was done with both my husband and I since our two boys 5 and 3 1/2 try but reverse help. It did not take long at all to assemble. My 3 1/2 year old loves it. It is tall enough to have a fort underneath and short enough that Im not too worried about the height. It is very sturdy for them! I would not suggest an adult climbing in the bed. So we bought another one for our 5 year old, since the 3 1/2 year old needed out of the convertible crib immediately. The second bed came with a defect on one of the posts. I was worried contacting stores 123
because they may be out for the holidays. They responded that day Christmas eve and even on New years eve. They kept me informed all the way through (till delivery of the new bed) and even gave me options right away. The new bed once they contacted the manufacturer was sent out right away and delivered within a week. Stores 123 exceeded my expectations for what a company would go through to replace a defective product: They responded within 24hrs, went out of their way to keep me informed even during the holiday season, and made sure I was happy with the delivery of the replacement product. The boys are so very happy with their beds. Thank you so very much Stores 123 (especially Amari). Highly recommend this bed as well as the company for its outstanding customer service.
This bunkbed is the perfect height for my 3 year old and 1 year old. It was not much taller than our crib, and the low bottom bunk is perfect for transitioning from a crib to a real bed.
Very sturdy, and fairly easy to assemble. My hubby and I spend about 2.5 hours working on it. Would buy again. Only negative is that they only give you the exact amount of hardware, and a screw was defective. Luckily it was for the slats, and its a fairly standard part to replace.
No one has slept in it yet, but it is ready for use.
The good things: The materials provided seemed to be of great quality for the most part (see below for exceptions). The finish on the parts were great. The instructions were logically laid out and the illustrations went a long way towards making this a successful operation. I particularly liked the tape that they used on the lattice structure to help with spacing. That made the job of attaching the lattice to the bed frame easier.
The not so great things: With some power tools, it took 6 hours of actual assembly time. If you use the recommended screwdriver and supplied Allen wrench I could see it taking longer. The next not so great thing is that one of the pieces had a mis/drilled hole which I had to over/drill in order to make the board line up properly. I decided to make the hole rather than wait for a replacement part to arrive as I needed the bed to function sooner rather than later.
Other thoughts:
1. There are a lot pieces. It requires a lot of space to be efficient in assembling it.
2. It would be better to have the bottom half assembled first. The instructions are not clear on that.
This thing is the best bed Ive ever seen for. I had no drill and put this together in 9 hours by hand. It H U R T. I could have done this pain/free in 3/4 hours if I had a drill. I HIGHLY recommend the bed, though / its so sturdy and just a real joy! Get a 75 long twin (xl) mattress.
The bed was fairly easy to put together but boards came with nicks, gouges and scratches, and a couple actually split when the screws were put in. Seems sturdy enough but was disappointed in the quality of the materials. For the price it should have been free of defects and boards should not have split. The trundle bed front is not as sturdy as it should be either. Need to be careful when pulling out on a carpeted floor.
Its a cute bed for my girls. I put a 6 inch mattress with it abs there plenty of room for them I also painted part of it to match the room. It fit perfect with my room color scheme. Not sure if Im gunna do the trundle pet right away but love that the option there
First and most important this bed is sturdy! I have owned several bunk beds and most wobble and shake. I tried to shake this bed and it does not budge. This bed it not the easiest to put together because the part fit so tight. This is not a bad thing! I have seen other reviews on ease of assembly some gave a lower rating because if that. Just ask yourself do you want a bed that is really easy to assemble but if your sneezes will collapse or one that takes a little time to assemble but would withstand a hurricane? I will pick the bed my can play in and enjoy like this one everytime! Instructions where easy to follow. I would recommend 2 people for the install just too make it a little easier. My helper was my 9yo daughter. The bed is a great value for the money. The quality is on par with the 1200/1800 custom beds.
Updated: I received the the replacement part needed. Both the seller and manufacturer were aming getting me the new part. The part arrived very fast with no issues. Some of the best customer service I have ever received!
I only had one issue and that was a part where the holes were drilled incorrect. This type of thing happens when dealing with real wood that is milled. I contacted the seller and the manufacturer. I was nervous because this is a Christmas present! The manufacturer is located in TX and when I called I real life person answered. She was great and got me everything I needed to get the replacement parts. At the same time support for Bison office reached out ready to help get the replacement parts. I am in shock both companies wanted to help. By far some of the best customer support I have received in a long time.
If you are looking for a great bunk bed that can handle the brutal nerf battles that are sure to come this is the bed for you!

Great for small rooms and young!

Not using top bunk or ladder until my 3 year old is around 6. Very pleased with quality
