I needed to buy two loft beds for my grandsons. I was limited by my budget and I looked at different sites and different options. I also read many reviews and one of the things that I saw was that many beds were good but had thin round metal for the rungs in the ladders that hurt feet.
This bed is great. We had to put two together and it was reasonably simple if you just followed directions. A couple of tips. Dont tighten the screws too tight until you have the bed mounted. This will make it easier to jiggle the pieces to fit. If you can get a second Allen Wrench, another person can help to screw the bolts in. You will need a second person to at least hold up some of the pieces especially in the beginning.
Make sure you use an electric drill or you will get frustrated trying to put it together. Took about 2hours to assemble. Perfect for smaller rooms and shared rooms. My boys love it and the color is really nice. Nice and affordable
This is a very nice loft bed and works well even for a small teenager. It allows them to sit up in bed and not hit their head on the ceiling. There is some minor movement when rolling over in bed but otherwise is sturdy. There is a lot of space underneath and even fits small shelving units for more storage.
It was a pain in the ass to put together.. My daughter and I took many mini-breaks.. thought about life and had a lot of anger outbursts but once it was put together it was nice I plan on leaving it in the house when I move out though
Steps are VERY thin - hurts your feet climbing up. As other reviewers have recommended, we added a thick pool noodle to alleviate. Much better. Bed is a bit wobbly - no danger of it falling, but its unnerving to climb into it as it rocks back and forth. Otherwise its a solid piece.
