I have been looking for a loft bed for my 7.5 year old that can fit in his smaller sized room. Most beds go to high and leave little room at the top. This bed is roughly 6 feet tall so left a decent amount of space at the top and would still work as he got older. It took myself and my husband about 3 hours to assemble due to some pieces being a little tricky to assemble. But we got it all together and it is perfect for what we need. The bed arrived on time and without damage to the product itself. The box was a little beat up but the item inside were good. No cracks or scratches or breaks in any of the materials. We listens to the other suggestions about not tightening any of the screws fully until its all assembled and I would continue to suggest that tip bc it worked well for us.
Would recommend this product for small rooms, just make sure you give yourself a couple hours and at least 2 people to assemble.
Had this bed for a month so far and LOVE it! Sure it wiggles and squeaks a bit, but once settled, its solid.
Biggest complaint is the ladder: square rungs are painful. I put pool noodles around them and that does well, but the noodles are falling apart after only a few weeks. Still trying to find a better solution for it.
The desk space is spacious, though it could stand for a little more width. Another 2-3 inches would be perfect.
Assembly was very straight-forward, least until I tried to open a bag of parts and used too much strength and flung the parts EVERYWHERE (the plastic C-clips). Pro-tip: Cut the bags open carefully. Do not rip the bags open.
Took me a few hours to get it together, but SO happy once it was. No more sleeping on the floor.
Its easy enough to assemble but the INSTRUCTIONS could MENTION the areas the drawn hand is pointing to. Also, there are NO HOLES predrilled in the top rails to attach the safety rail and ladder. None. Five of us have searched everywhere. I could drill it myself but I dont want to compromise the structural integrity of the entire bed frame. So now I have to figure out how the child will get in and out of the top bunk AND not fall off in the night.
So far so good, bought for my 11 year old as her room is extremely small, this allows her enough floor space for a desk. The bed is pretty sturdy, though it does have a bit of movement but nothing concerning. I have made it a routine to regularly check that all the screws are tight (I have found that some need to be re-tightened from time-to-time) If it seems overly wobbly I would double check all the screws. Overall its a pretty sturdy bed for the price and assembly wasnt to bad, took me about 3 hrs
