Whoever designed this bed hates people. You have to put together every single piece of wood. EVERY SINGLE ONE. So many parts of this bed could have come pre/fabricated making it easier. The directions were quite vague and the took years off my life. Haha. Although it is pretty and sturdy when you finish it 3 days later.
This is a revised review as my previous one was a one/star due to the fact that you need a second person to just holdthings tight before you can even use screws.
It took me about an hour to assemble what I could say is an adult version of Jengaas the slightest movement would cause over 20 pieces to fall apartso I used painters tape to hold in the and once the top of the sides were doneuse more painters tape to wrap around several places and holdeverything together before you move on to the other parts.
Another tipdont throw away that huge styrofoam block yetuse it when assembling the back railing as you can prop up the lower back railing that way.
Bottom lineannoyed because of so many small pieces used to createbigger pieces that then get used to assemble the rest of the bed.
Overall the bed looks solid afterwardsminus 1 star because mine came with a dent in one of the pieces AND two of the pieces were mistagged but the instructions showed the correction.
If you want to go with a foam mattresstry going to Home Depot/Lowes and getting a very thin piece of plywood and have it cut 74x 53.5to fit a full bed. And then looking at foam mattresses you can go with a 8 inch foam that will allow you an extra inch for a topper if you desirebut the thicker the mattressthe smaller the bed looks.
Great price and relatively easy to put together. Took a little longer than we thought it would, but its just what we needed for the guest room. Very happy with how much sturdier it is than the last day bed we had. And its super cute!
Purchased three of these beds for my daughters. They are very very cute if youre theme in your home is farmhouse or vintage. Only reason as to why the 4 stars is one of the beds had a huge spot where the paint cracked out of the corner. Not a big deal and doesnt effect the functionality of it at all. Just a bit bummed. We went with the white so that it would match any of their decor. We have a 13,12, and 8 yr old and these beds seem to be holding up great over the last month. Recommend.
Pros: very pretty, as pictured; sturdy. Cons: only con is that it took awhile to assemble. Not very difficult, but time/consuming. (Two people two hours.) Worth it, though, for the appearance and the price.
In love. I was very sceptical when buying this bed hoping it wasnt a flimsy piece of junk. It is NOT! Its very sturdy very easy to assemble. I assembled this bed with my 5 year old daughter in about an hour. It came with two different height options/ we chose the higher option and it looks great. No creaking noises. Solid bed. Very pleased.
So Im upset they didnt have it in white so we decided to get it because we couldnt find anything in full size in white for this price so we decided to spray paint it but gosh 9 spray cans later it came out nice I love it.
Unfortunately it took a lot longer to build probably then it should have. The instructions were referencing certain letters/parts however the labeling on each were incorrect resulting in a couple hours of trying to figure things out.
Nice bed and one person was able to put together alone. It was easy to out together and looks pretty. This bed does not need a box spring on day bed or trundle. Its a good buy. We are happy with purchase.
I like the Dorel Full Daybed for the uniqueness of the size. I fits two people well. The assembly of the bed took me all day by myself, however the instructions are easy to un understand.
Becaise of how unique the full size day bed is, I had to purchase queen size bedding because its kind of difficult to find a full size daybed set most daybed sets are size.
