This bed was delivered to me with a damaged box. It sure had me worried. But upon opening it I found every piece in perfect condition. Putting it together was quite easy thanks to easy to read instructions. I used an electric driver with a torx screwdriver. It took me about 2 ? hours. I will also add I am 73 years old.
Beautiful daybed. The spindles were tricky to balance when putting together the sides. Huge learning curve lol. Had to use some sandpaper inside of the grooves for them to slide into easier. I also added extra to the base for more durability
The only difficulty was lining up some of the nuts and bolts, but once accomplished, end result was a sturdy bed with trundle that moved easily from under the bed. Appearance is also pleasing, making a delightful addition to a spare bedroom/office.
I work in a hospital and was [politely] exiled to the other part of the house to protect my medically vulnerable family members from COVID exposure. When it became clear that COVID was here to stay, I realized sleeping on a stack of mattress toppers was not a sustainable long/term solution. So, I bought a bed.
I chose this bed because ideally it can be used in the future as some kind of guest bed (whenever thats safe again). Also because I figured I could use the bottom/trundle for non/bed seating, because it was becoming progressively clearer that the rec room was going to be my studio/dorm (and the geometry wouldnt allow for a loft bed like in a real dorm room).
Anyway, the instructions were simple and straightforward. The pictures were understandable. All tools and hardware were included, AND were packaged based on what they were for (the trundle hardware was in a separate package from that of the main bed assembly), which was cool.
All in all, Im happy with my purchase. This trundle bed is cute, easy for a single person to assemble (also LOUD to assemble! But thats expected, everything is ), and helps me feel a bit more like COVID isolation is a fun little adventure that I can have some agency over, which makes the separation from my family members (in the other part of the house) a bit more tolerable.
That said, Im not tall (54). I probably wouldnt recommend this for anyone taller than 56, but that goes for any size bed. My feet sometimes do reach the footboard, but the funny thing is that because of the construction of the footboard (a railing rather than a solid wall), my feet just go through. So its not even that uncomfortable!
The mattress Im using for the main bed is the linenspa 6/inch innerspring mattress, with a 2 foam topper, and it is extremely comfortable. For the trundle, Im using an old futon mattress since Im just sitting on it every now and then, not sleeping on it. I wouldnt recommend the futon mattress for sleeping.
This is a wonderful bed for the price. We bought the daybed and it is a great price fit for our guest room/Office. My husband and I put it together super fast and easy. We are very happy with it. Only problem was we had a mattress that was bought for another bed we ended up not getting. I just wish we wouldnt have bought a mattress that was so thick because it really does not show the sides of the bed. When we buy the mattress for the trundle we will make sure to by a thinner mattress. Its still a great bed though.
Perfect bed for my two year old. Love that the height is adjustable. I will definitely purchase again when my other two kids are ready for a big kid bed. Couldnt ask for a better bed for the price.

Gorgeous but takes a bit to put together

Instructions are not very good
Very hard to assemble! Very stressful
Do use a thick mattress

Just what I needed

Assembly nightmare
Holy crap! The assembly for this bed was so horrible, I had to hire somebody to do it. It seems simple but for me it just was so hard
