Sturdy, good-looking piece that has done exactly what I needed. I especially like the fold-out top extension. Assembly took some time, but the instructions were accurate. There was a lot of off-gassing; the product smelled strongly out if the box, and I had to leave it in my garage with the overhead doors open for almost two days to air out the smell before I could tolerate bringing it inside, but it's been fine since then. They packed it with a lot of flimsy styrofoam, which I do not approve of as it gets everywhere and will spend nearly an eternity in a landfill, never decomposing. Nevertheless I give the product five stars because I am sure most readers want (as I did) to know if it is an attractive, sturdy, functional kitchen island and the answer to that is yes. I am quite pleased with it from a practical and aesthetic point of view.
I had missed a sale at a Holiday Tree store that had a variety of these for about a week. They sold out quickly and I really needed this color scheme, so popped on and found this. Item was shipped quickly. Instructions were clear and the folks that put it together for me had the following complaint:
Pieces are not all uniform, specifically in my case, the cabinet doors ( one was bigger than the other and it wasn't level) and one of the drawers didn't quite fit.
Another person who is a contractor took a look at it and said that the drawer could be fixed by re-doing the runners and the door would need to move all of the hardware to compensate for the size difference and lessen the amount of dust from the floor that would end up inside the cabinet. BUT I had read others comments about moving the screws and how they stripped and I really didn't want to take the time or chance that it would be all that much better. Perhaps at a later date, but not now. Be aware that it might be helpful to have a level, and extra screws when you put this together. Added info: Yes, you will need to wipe down each piece from errant items sticking to them AND there is a distinct chemical odor that lasted throughout two rooms in my house for almost 2 weeks.
The package is fairly large and heavy but everything arrived intact. There is a lot of styrofoam in the box which did stick to the pieces and got all over the place. I had to vaccum to clean up all the debris and remove bits from the parts while putting it together ( some of the foam would block some of the locks from closing properly.)
Assembly instructions were pretty straightforward and there was no problem following the pictures. The process was definitely easier with 2 people for attaching parts together and for maneuvering the frame. I did have issues with a wonky door hinge and a yellow stain on my top. I contacted the manufacturer via email and they were great with getting me replacement parts.
Love it and love that it's on wheels. Will fit in smaller space without the side attachments. Worth the price if you need that extra storage or counter.
The box suffered some damage during delivery, but no worries, the pieces were very well protected inside. The instructions were very easy to follow and all the hardware is sorted and clearly labeled. The drawers are much deeper and offer more storage than I was expecting. Overall, very nice for the price.
This island has been the best addition to my kitchen. It's the perfect setup for buffet style dinners. It is just enough extra storage space for my cookware. I put it together myself in just 2 hours.
This has more storage and more counter space than I expected. I'm so thankful I bought it. My apartment isn't small but I needed more cooking space and storage. This gave me just that. I'm very happy with my buy. I bought the white one.

Like it cause it looksnperfect inlcuding the leaf. The color match some of my drawers and it look classy. Overall - its a perfect 5 .
