The mattress used in the photos on are of a VERY thin mattress, which then allows you to see a lot of the headboard. My mattress is very thick, and as you can see in the photos, not much of the headboard is visible once you add your pillows. With my decorative pillows, you can barely see any of the headboard at all. The headboard is kind of the whole point of this. It needs to be at least another six-eight inches taller.
This bed was so easy to put together and its a great looking bed for a great price. Its perfect for our new memory foam mattress. Highly recommend buying.
Very well constructed and worth every penny!! This is a really beautiful headboard it will require two people to get it together, one can do it but will struggle a little bit. Definitely worth the buy!!
This bed is ALL real wood, no particle board! It took my husband about an hour to put together (would have been less but he mixed up two of the boards and he had to change them ). We bought a ten inch mattress, after reading several reviews stating that a 12 inch would cover the headboard. Actually, the headboard can adjust to the mattress size and we could have purchased taller mattress. Nonetheless, we are thrilled with the mattress we purchased and the bed looks great! We definitely recommend this bed and company!

Put it together by myself
Could have used an extra hand, but I refuse to let furniture defeat me. They really made it easy to put together, even for this 58 year old woman.
