The wood is definitely plastic looking, but with me watching kiddos in my home it works great! Easy to clean and the kids love sitting on the bench. We did have a hard time installing the metal crate under the table so we left it out, plus it seemed to have more leg room without it anyway. It took us a couple of hours to instal, but was easy to assemble the chairs and table.
When I saw this picture of this set thought this is exactly what I needed for my dining room and you know what ....it was exactly what I needed for my dining room. It is sturdy and Beautiful- the bench is perfect too! I was surprised how well it was made,.. considering that I am ordering it online and not sure of how its going to be.. it was just what I wanted!!! Thank you!
I was hesitant to order such big furniture on but this was easy to put together. Probably took about 45 minutes with 2 people. We had trouble with the shippers because they didnt use some standard ups or usps.

Is perfect for small kitchens with big families. Seat 6 but 5 comfortably. Is very sturdy and easy to clean. Has storage space and can hold a lot.
