It came with only a day delay. Has a few dings in areas which are visible when constructed (2 drawers show damage), which Im not thrilled about at all. But thats more to do with the handling during shipping. VERY HEAVY. Construct it near where itll eventually go in your home. But I built it pretty easily in about an hour and a half by myself. Looks great and seems very stable and solid. Might buy another soon.
The dresser was shipped in a thick cardboard box with reinforced corners and shrink wrapped for moisture protection. Even though the UPS driver apparently dragged it across the country the dresser was not damaged in any way after unboxing. The parts themselves were very dusty which is the only negative I have. You will definitely have to wipe them down before assembly. The instructions were A+. Honestly the best I have ever had for an at home assembly of a product. The hardware seemed to be a notch above the cheap Chinese stuff. I did not have a problem stripping out any of the hardware during installation. Overall a great product and Made In America.
This chest had the exact look for our guest bedroom we were preparing. While unboxing we found a damaged spot despite being well protected by the heavy cardboard surrounding it. I was very frustrated, we had a guest on the way, and the spot on our brand new dresser was on the top front corner, anywhere else and we could have hidden it. I went to the companys website and within a few minutes I had put in the model number and individual piece that was damaged and my shipping address. I thought that there would be more painful slow back and forth, but within a few days I had a perfect new top for my dresser. Indecently it came in on afternoon I had set aside for assembly. My daughter put it together in less than an hour while I grilled supper and dominated opposing teams on Call of Duty. Dresser looks as good or better than picture, solid, heavy, sturdy. Will not hesitate to buy more products from Sauder.
Very hard to put this together. It took several tries and multiple people to finally get it functional. Never had a project so difficult. Even now its shakey ,drawers will not glide smoothly. I would have sent it back but would have been too hard.
Directions where easy to follow and I was able to put it together in a couple of hours.
The final assembled dresser looks great and heavy duty in construction. I would recommend this product.
This dresser arrived with the box intact, none of the pieces damaged, and with all pieces accounted for. The dresser itself, from a distance, looks great. Up close, it isnt going to pass as a 300+ piece of furniture, but Im certainly pleased with the appearance for what I spent. To assemble, it took me about 4 hours without powered tools and a basic tool kit. The instructions were detailed, easy to follow, and clear. It did not come with any included tools, so you will need a Phillips screwdriver, a small hammer, and a level. A power drill could shave off a solid 30 minutes of assembly time. The pieces all fit the way they were supposed to and it feels sturdy.
