I bough this couch to match my other couch that I purchased from home goods. The color match is close to perfect and the futon is very comfortable. My only dislike is how low to the ground it is. I know futons are usually low to the ground. But in the image on . I checked before purchasing it said 8 inches off the ground!!! My couch I already have is 9 inches off the ground yet the difference looks about 4 inches shorter rather than just 1 inch. (Check photos that I attached) but hopefully I can find some leg extensions and make them the same height. Perfect in every way.
Just finished putting together my Gilman futonEASY! I was feeling uncertain about assembling it, so I emailed Edenbrook. Their rep got back to me very quickly and reassured me that if Id put together IKEA and other pieces of furniture I got online, I would be able to assemble the futon. He was right! What a great buy!
Arrived way earlier than anticipated, by roughly 5 days. Easy to assemble. Sturdy, and decent quality. No issues with hardware or fitting arms on. Will say that its not the most comfortable futon to sit or lay on, but since its for my home office its comfort isnt entirely imperative. It may be hard to tell in the image, but I opted for the forest green color and I love it. Im enjoying it so far!
Aesthetically, this couch is everything Ive ever wanted. But to sit on for any amount of time wow I would not recommend. Your butt will start to hurt fairly quickly and youll have to adjust often. I cant speak to the comfort as a futon, but do NOT make this your main sitting couch. On the upside, was beyond easy to put together and was delivered super fast. Will probably become a futon in an extra room or something and Ill buy another couch for sitting. Quality of is very good other than this issue.
Beautiful, comfortable, so easy to put together / took less than ten minutes. I love it! My brother bought one after visiting. I did a ton of research, and it paid off. So far Im super happy with it!

This nice looking mid/century modern piece was a great addition to my office. Not only was it easy to assemble, but both couch and sleeper are comfortable and sturdy. Great value for the price! Very happy with this purchase. Nice style and color
