First off, this is NOT a locking filing cabinet. The drawer which is made to file in does NOT lock. Only the top drawer does. Other than that it is a decent cheap cabinet that wants horrible to put together. Wasn’t fun but I got it done without issue.
The back piece is not very sturdy, not great quality. It does look nice and will do the trick. Took quite awhile to put together and a couple of pieces were not numbered correctly.
Never replaced defective parts. Sent pictures and identified defective parts on instructions. Was told the factory was closed for a holiday back in February.
I have mixed reviews about this cabinet— but overall, at this price, I’m satisfied. A couple things I don’t like: two pieces came damaged, the shipping box was fine. (See photos) The top panel has a corner with a chip, and the file cabinet drawer has these plastic strips that go along the edge to hold file folders…one of those is chipped in a corner. I’m guessing these things just got missed in the inspection. Things I really like— the design is great— I feel like this is not going to wear out like other inexpensive furniture tends to do. The company thought of little things like stickers to cover the hardware, and little plastic pieces to help the back panel to stay put.
One other thing to note is the box it comes in is extremely heavy/awkward size for one person to manage. Have a helper!
This was a pain to assemble. You need two people. This is the most expensive piece of furniture in my office and its flimsy and cheap. I would not recommend. The cost for the quality did not align.
I just finished putting this together so maybe it’s early to review. But so far the materials seem extremely sturdy and I’m excited about This cabinet! However I did run into one issue. The holes in the file drawer didnt match up to where the drawing said they should go, and consequently the drawers wasn’t flush against the whole case. I had to go in and make my own holes on that drawer for the rods in order the get the drawer to be flush. However with a little bit of creativity I was able to get it done and it came out perfect. I would DEFINITELY recommend using a power drill for this — a hand screwdriver is not gonna get the job done on a lot of those screws.

VERY CHEAPLY MADE
Very cheaply made ! Even the hardware is fragile and cheap . Definitely wont last
Took a LOT of time to put together

Doesnt honor warranty

Not sturdy
It leans if someone leans on it. I use it by my recliner as a desk. I like the open space for trash basket. I like that the drawer locks.
Good and bad

It will have to do

Functional
Had to use a drill to put together. Also much faster with 2 people. Perhaps an hour with 2 people.
Study materials but one problem
