This was an ENORMOUS pain to put together. Almost every screw chipped the finish on the ply board. I needed something quick, and you get what you pay for. I would recommend this unless you have hours of your life you dont want back
The assembly was challenging for me. Getting the hardware for drawers to hold together took multiple tries especially getting back piece to fit in grooves. I had 2 to assemble. If you are persistent you will succeed.
It looks great but the bottom drawer doesn’t come out far enough to access the back files easily. It’s kind of a struggle to actually take out things from the hanging folders in bottom drawer. Just awkward
Very mixed on this purchase. has always had a good quality product. The fit and finish on this one is no exception. Unfortunately they’ve decided to make removing drawers very difficult (see you tube) which seems very odd. They offer very little in the way of instructions and so far request from their web site have been unproductive.
Delivery of this product was a complete cluster. After waiting 3 weeks I received a notice that the cabinet was damaged in the delivery process before it made it to my door. So had to order another and wait 3 more weeks. When you order you pick a delivery time. 2 days before delivery I received a cryptic message about a schedule change - there was no reference to my order number or product. I felt it was a scam. 1 day before delivery confirmed my delivery for the original day. Later that day I got another email stating my delivery was scheduled for 4:30-7:30 later that day. They delivered it at 3:30. Thankfully someone was home. They also left a pallet in our driveway.
It’s nice to have a delivery early (certainly not the norm) but we were lucky to have someone home. I will buy this differently next time and consider other products than .
UPDATE: I pulled out a drawer and the whole bottom came out. Yes, now that the Ikea Alex is back in stock I am ordering that one because it is so much sturdier and better built. If you want to store feathers in the drawers you will be fine, but buyer beware do not put anything heavy in the drawers. Reducing review by another star for this.
Is this cabinet Ikea Alex sturdy - no, but that was out of stock and this one was able to ship fast and looks nice. Now it was a pain to put together as the Alex cabinet comes with the runners already installed and for this one you have to screw in each runner with multiple screws - seriously it took me about 2.5 hours to get it together and I am pretty handy. By contrast my other Ikea Alex took about a half hour/45 minutes.
I am not sure how it will age, but once put together it looks nice and the drawers operate. If I had a need again I would rebuy.

Bottom drawer sliders are sticky
Difficult to easily open/close the bottom drawer. The slider mechanisms are sticky. Not sure that will get better over time.

Screws were stripped and a billion pieces. I was told by my husband never buy crap like that again. It looks nice though.
