Great value. My daughter made stickers for my granddaughter going into Kindergarten. Each day of the week will have her entire outfit in the corresponding drawer. Very sturdy and easy slide drawers. We did add some wood glue because it was suggested at the corners of the drawers.
There were a lot of parts and it took me a while to assemble, I also had to read the directions a couple times before I got the hang of what I was doing...but overall the directions were pretty clear and alllllllllll the pieces fit PERFECTLY! Got 2 of these to use in my salon to store my makeup as well as combs, shears and lots more! Great piece!
Needed a separate riling cabinet for home items now that I have to work from home. Have to separate work and home stuff. Easy to put together by myself. Exactly what I needed
I love this cabinet. Its in my bathroom and still holding strong with all the steam from the showers. I am not a fan of the fact that a couple of the drawers are hard to slide in. They get stuck and I have to wiggle them to get in but probably my fault when assembling it. Love it so far!!
is not what it used to be. Their quality has lowered significantly, in my opinion.
My file cabinet came with the packaging in fairly rough shape, the back of the cabinet was dented in on both upper corner areas (which I pushed out) and a screw was completely missing from the top drawer face panel. There is a flat piece of metal on the inside of the back panel which I believe is to counter-balance the cabinet from tipping forward. This piece of metal is attached with two very small sheet metal screws. This could tear off the thin sheet metal housing of the cabinet, or break the screws easily if it were dropped or rocked - most likely from moving it. I drilled two 1/4 holes in this piece and fastened it with 1/4 bolts and nuts for safety.
This file cabinet is made with lighter gauge metal than the older models, and the quality build is not very good at all... ESPECIALLY for the money I spent on this item. - No more for Me!
I have mixed feelings about this filing cabinet. About the only positive thing I can say about it is that it does its job once assembled.
The parts themselves were mislabeled, cheap, and the instructions for assembly were vague, making putting the thing together beyond frustrating. I assembled it alone successfully, but I strongly recommend you embark upon this crusade of personal suffering with a friend if you know whats good for you.
The wood is composite particle board which is basically compressed sawdust. It will NOT handle any abuse, so once its together, dont attempt to take it apart because youre likely to strip the drilled holes and nothing will fit together anymore. The slides for the drawers are, naturally, made of the cheapest possible sheet steel you could expect to find. For the price, I kind of expected it, but they neither glide gracefully nor will they stand the test of time. I give this thing 3 years max if you fully load the draws with any substantial weight.
While Im on the subject, the instructions for putting the slides on the draws were, again, vague and the images are misleading. Make sure you put the slides flush on two sides against each drawer, wrapped around the bottom corners and the wheel facing the rear. If only one side of the slide is touching the drawer, youve done it wrong, and the drawers wont fit once you try to insert them into the cabinet.
All in all, it works. Its frustrating as hell to put together, and I dont expect it to last for very long, but it works. I cant say I would recommend it for anyone. You get what you pay for. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Not the highest quality and the drawer doesnt close in and out as smooth as I would like but it gets the job done. Im able to store many of my makeup and accessories. Fits perfectly in with my little office.
A) you definitely need a drill for this.
B) screw heads strip really easily and the predrilled holes are not wide enough to fit the screws. It takes a lot of pressure on the screw head, and a slow speed drill to get them in without stripping the soft metal.
C) parts often do not line up properly and it leaves you with crooked drawers that arent straight.
D) bottom drawer rail broke when putting in the bottom drawer, I pieced it back together because after 1.5 hours of putting it together I wasnt super into the idea of returning the whole thing and doing it again.
Usable, looks decent, most would think its nice, works OK, would possibly order again because some batches of self assemble things are just one offs. Bur definitely not super impressive.
Also ordered their desk and shelf setup. Well see how that goes. They arent in yet.
Priced too high for what you get in my opinion. This is more of a $110 situation, not $160. (CAD)

Home life transition to working from home life

Worth what I paid - good furniture and function
Its a solid piece of furniture and looks great. It fits perfectly in my space below the window of my office, plus it holds my printer nicely on top.
Love it!!

One Star
Arrived badly damaged.
