I bought 6, and only 3 could be assembled without breaking the locking mechanism between the lift mechanism and the base post. Without the lock, the pneumatic function will not work.
I purchased six units and couple of the cushions had some issues. The company resolved the issue relatively quickly by providing replacement cushions. Could not be any happier with my purchase. Now our recently remodeled kitchen looks great with these contemporary barstools that both look nice and are very steardy. Highly recommended. Easy assembly.
I wouldnt mind the base cover being of higher quality material, but for this price they are great. We have been using for a few months now with no problems. Note: not for big butts. Better than expected.

very cheaply made. one of the bolt hole threads was missing on one of the chairs and the piston didnt work on the other one. bought for a trade show.
